The only two places that I find "reliable" are YouTube and Kiwifarms, but it massively depends what you post when it's YouTube. YouTube happily hosts your literally inoffensive content, such as: news broadcasts, golfing tournaments, home video, those will last literally forever. Curse once in your video and the chances of having the video remain online drops by over 90%. Having something copyrightable drops that down below the millionth percentile. - I don't trust Vimeo, Odyssee, Rumble, whatever the fuck, so, so much less.
Literally anyone can falsely claim copyright infringement, privacy violations, unlawful material, or make vague "community guidelines violation" allegations. None of it is vetted, takedowns are near-fully-automatic, and false claims are never punished (even when proven to be malicious). Appeals are rarely successful unless you're one of Youtube's few "blessed" content creators, and even they're not immune.

"Flaggot" is a term for a reason. Youtube isn't remotely reliable. It is the least-reliable hosting platform on earth because it's built on absurdly reliable underlying technology (lending credence to its "resiliency" reputation) and has strongly-worded, publicly available written content policies, which it then completely ignores and contradicts when convenient for its owners. It is a content vacuum, luring people into trusting it as a sole "safe" repository for media, only to act shocked when Youtube does what Youtube does and, as you describe, deletes it on a whim.

ETA:
They'll 100% ban you for this the moment they notice. Absolutely not worth trying, even just as a proof-of-concept.

I have to ask: Why are IPT torrents so damned big? Most IPT torrents are at least 10x the size of their YIFY counterparts and I rarely use IPT as a result.
higher quality. yify torrents are usually much more compressed - to the point that their 720p torrents have better quality then their 1080p torrents.

I have lots of old videos with cussing and copyright violations that haven't been removed. Only thing that was ever removed was a video of Alex Jones talking to Joe Rogan about why he left youtube (covid censorship.)
I agree with others about archiving youtube. Everyone should learn to use yt-dlp. Its amazing and easy if you use AI to code for you.

I just noticed I can get access to the file still.

Because it's hosted on Youtube, which cheerfully deletes content literally all the time without notice, recourse, or (effective/accessible) appeal, for any and/or no reason whatsoever, including the whims of whichever grievance grifters are upset about [specific topic] that day.

If you watch something and find it has value of any kind, keep a local copy yourself. If you ever think it should be important for another human being to watch it, preserve it yourself, becaue you cannot rely on others to do so. At least if you misplace, damage or lose it yourself you'll know why/how, and it was at least ostensibly more under your own control than relying on the world's least-reliable video hosting site to archive things you value.
Somewhat true and Youtube definitely changes with the US administration with Trump all sorts of stuff is allowed up there, under Biden there was clearly directives, which they followed to remove things.

For things like old non-political anime from the early 90s though, or old sports games where the right holders don't care anymore I think it could be alright though

WELL THIS IS FUCKING GAY! (From PTP)
Remind me again why using an open-source 2FA authenticator like KeePass is a bad thing? Is this just a general resistance to any attempt by a website to make you authenticate in any fashion prior to downloading "teh naughties" or is there some actually-traceable privacy implication for 2FA authentication that's gone undisclosed until just now?

It’s that time again! I have a handful of IPtorrents invites to give out. Same as ever, drop me a DM if you’re interested and ill sort you out. Newfags and pink triangle owners need not apply.
Are you expected to do something on IPtorrents to maintain your account when you're just browsing and not doing anything? I got an invite from someone at The Farms (it may have even been you) and then they blocked me for some reason.

IPTorrents requires some degree of regular activity. "Normal Users" are required to log in once every 30 days, "Power Users" once per 90 days. There's also a requirement to be downloading or seeding something at least.

If you want back in I'll reinvite you, just don't use the same email again.

Looking at the list of invites I've sent out the accounts that have been disabled were ones that never did anything that changed their starting ratio of 10GB Upload and 0 Download.

I see. Hook me up then, please. I'll pay attention this time.

Oh yay, "gatekeeping" and snobbery in copyright infringement. Honor among thieves and all that. [rolls eyes]
Gatekeeping is a good thing with regards to keeping good things good no? Otherwise you end up with situations like Myrient where tiktok retards create 'tools' that overload the services and fuck it up for everyone by selling it to retards or just for 'clout'.
