It's placed on intentional baiters and people who are constantly disruptive in threads, basically a "look out, possible jackass thoughts incoming" badge. Some also ask for it to add as a dumb flair to their account like an achievement and sometimes it is gifted by the mods as a joke. Generally though, most users who have it longer than a few months are contentious, baiters, dipshits, or a combination thereof.

It's pink triangle for the Nazi pink triangle. I.E. " get a load of this faggot"

Imagine there was a snail that moved at snail speed towards you wherever you are in the world, that never sleeps and always just keeps moving towards you. And when it touches you, you get a pink triangle.

For some people getting it is inevitable. It's intrinsic to who they are and how they act.
