Can Americans actually decipher what this means?
What are the rules? Why won't they use any units? If the 5 represents the number of feat and the 10 represents the number of inches, why is there no indication that it's 5 followed by 10 and not 510 like it's written?
As a European, the most sensible interpretation of this dimensionless value for height would be that they store every value in centifeet and that 510 centifeet is 5.1 feet or 5 feet and 1.2 inches.
