He keeps yelling that tips are tax free but I did a simple Google search and it says that tips are taxable in USA

In a lot of small businesses with a physical cash tip jar for the cashier, that never gets reported to anyone and no one cares, because if you’re working somewhere with a cash tip jar you probably don’t owe taxes anyway. Servers and the like who get most of their income from more substantial tips that are mostly processed on cards have a harder time dodging the law.
