Ralph just can’t help his deep white trash breeding. In white trash world bragging about alcoholism at 12 or not remembering 3 years of your 20’s due to drug use is par for the course. Substance abuse, baby mama drama and arrests are about all they have in the way of accomplishments. As a result casual boasting about such things become common. It’s the closest thing to culture Ralphmale has and the only area he can feel a sense of achievement.
