It’s one of the things (along with certain turns of phrase he’s using lately) that make me think he’s been hitting up AA meetings. Smoking is retarded and terrible for your health but it’s better than being an active addict/alcoholic.

If he’s NOT going to meetings when he’s all alone in Mexico and has shit else to do, he really is fucking stupid. They usually have meeting marathons on holidays, sometimes for a full 24 hours, and that would be the best place for Ralph to be right now. Other than in a pine box, I mean.
