Every clip I've seen from this stream makes it sound like he could recreate the Scrooge McDuck vault dive with the amount of empty beer bottles in that room.

Absolutely a possibility. He's a total mark by being a white foreigner alone. Idiot brags openly about how much money he supposedly makes.

Could also pose as cops as en excuse to scope the place and rob you. No joke, my anxiety went through the roof watching that. Ethan said he made a point to tell them he was recording live. Maybe that saved him...for now. I wouldn't be surprised if they visit again.
Even if they were legit cops, I'd be quite wary. Too many of them answer to cartels (who are the law there & run shit). They take/demand bribes & are corrupt af.

I live on the border & occasionally go to Mexico for healthcare & meds. A few years back I was at a bus station & a white Lincoln Town Car came & parked where a bus normally does. The 3 cops (2 men & a woman) on duty put their phones down & watched. Out stepped 3 men who were escorting a smaller figure.
Looking as you can imagine, in animal skin boots, cowboy hats, gold jewelry & sunglasses. I got a bad feeling which was exacerbated when they get off w/a scared looking boy of about 15. It was obvious he was not there by choice. The cops got up to meet them & all walk into the men's bathroom, in plain view of us all. They were in there for a few mins, walked back out, put the kid in the car (a man on either side of him) & left. Cops returned to their seats & phones. I assure you that kid is dead by now.

It's not unheard of cops making bogus stops to aid cartels in their kidnappings & extortions.

Empty bottles, creaky chair, slurred drunken/drugged up speech and behavior - it has it all.
 
The cops are going to look up the cozy replay and see Ralph bragging to the fake Randbot about having 160K and being rich.
And drunk and stoned gringo who can't even speak spanish is going to be an easy mark.
 
Amanda better lay her pig husband sideways, or else he might asphyxiate due to his own vomit.
