I had very little luck removing the source audio, I'm pretty sure I had it synced up to the millisecond but for whatever reason I couldn't get it to work, this is my best result which I think is at least clearer than the first clip. Thanks for this information regardless, I'm going to play around and with some audio and see if I can learn something new.

I tried too. I'm pretty sure it's because of the two sources being compressed differently, it causes the waveforms to not match up even if they sound dead on. The result is that inverting to try and cancel it out doesn't work.
