Would have been funny if he did lie because this is like a kid calling up mama saying he missed the bus and when the garage door opens he's standing right there with a smirk and the parent just feels like hitting the pedestal anyway.
 
Nick didn’t want him there so he compensated for the flight and had him not go. Ralph won’t let the perfect opportunity to grift pass so he asks for money for a new ticket, looks up flights the next day to set a plausible goal of 624, says they are cancelling anyway. I don’t even think something this obvious should qualify as a work but whatever.

I've missed the past few days, but if Ralph is still completely and utterly blasted on stream every night it might just be as simple as he is incapable of planning and executing the trip.

When you are out of your mind every night you are effectively non-functional as a human, he's probably relying on Meigh for everything minus making his money at this point. Up to and including ass wiping.

Why would he even go now? The Fuentes rally was canceled and he won’t hang with Ralph. Is he just going to wander around DC for a day then go back to Mexico?

he literally did rely on Meigh for making money. He was drunk and forgot he had to pick up his car so hollered at her to sit on stream and entertain his paypigs while he was gone.
