I don't know much about Phil's situation but his financial situation isn't that bad (yet).
Apparently his rent is a direct stoppage from his tardbux so he can't really miss it.
He also has no overdraft function so can't get into serious debt.
Granted he can completely fuck up his utility payments.
Phil and Toren are scrapping by and the e-begging is just for treats like tattoos and shit they don't need.
Like Chris and ebegging it's not down to need but want and the fact self respect doesn't get in their way.
You could give Phil a huge payout to keep him going for years and he would still beg for basics since his attitude is why should "his" money pau for shit when you can do it for him.

Hes likely lying but there's a chance Toren does get tard bux.
Toren's identity is largely based around him bring an intellectual rather than neurodivergent so he would likely lie about it rather than admit to being a slow in the mind.
He has a source of income other than daddy eggy and I doubt it's a job.

I've often thought this. I look at Toren, Chris and Sophie Labelle - they get a pretty decent income for producing absolute crap. For a few hundred bucks a month, I'd happily put out a few shitty articles about cis privilege or something.

There's a homeless guy in my town centre who gives away little drawings to anyone who throws into his cap. No one really wants his doodles but he feels he's giving something to justify the donation so it's not really begging. I'm pretty sure he even digs the drawings people dump out of the bins to pass them out the next day.
I guess my point is I see all the tranny "kontent" producers the same way, idiots would donate to them anyway because Its the progressive thing to do and people like Toren get to feel they do something of worth. Their content is never consumed it's basically like a child's drawing, pat it on the head and forget about it instantly after its on the fridge.
That said atleast they have the lie to justify their begging whilst Phil is just gimmie gimmie gimmie and does nothing for it.

It's the kind of spud-math which ignores the fact that even if Toren doesn't get a cent, Phil will still receive his tardbux.
 
I wonder how much money gets sloshed over to these crowdfunding sites because troons give themselves money (and lose a cut for transaction costs in the process) to try and make themselves seem worthy.

The worst example was always fem freq and the thousands the through at each others patreons to make themselves relevant.
They were wasting hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year passing the same money through all the groups members.
5-10% of small donations isn't a big deal but on pledges of upto and over $1000 is a different matter especially when spread out over the whole gamergate period.

He says this every fucking year and never does the honours. Also, rate Phil optimistic that anyone would bother to remember him - at TDOR or anywhere else - if he did defy the odds and actually an hero.
