To me it feels like his landlord has been looking for an excuse to toss him and Slingblade for a while now and the situation is slowly reaching it's apex.

Maybe. A lot of places have tenancy laws which require you to give the tenant an opportunity to rectify any breaches before you can proceed to giving notice to vacate. A lot of tenants also know this and correct breaches just in time to save their tenancy.

Either way, Phil's going to use it as an excuse to beg for more money than usual.
 
Wish it was that simple. I thought Oregon was more renter friendly. But according to this intelligent looking website Phil gets 3 days to leave after not paying rent for a week (if that's the last straw) or a week of it's because he stank up the place. That's best case scenario. No changing the locks or anything like that from the land lord. Leaves time to get champagne.
Worst case: court dates.

Yeah but that's just before the eviction process can actually be initiated by the landlord. Someone who wants to can drag things out significantly past that, especially if it's a matter of a lease violation and not non-payent.

But some people will just leave upon getting the first notice.
 
Phil is too much of a pussy to actually use ant of the mall goth "weapons" he's got tacked to the walls against Opressor Landlord Class (who graciously gave him a sped apartment in a major city.)

And the landlords are going down their checklist towards eviction for sure. Pay late 1-2 times? Get an inspection. Fail inspection? Get a follow up. Fail it again? Eviction proceedings begin.

In most cities you can be evicted for (in addition to not paying or paying late):
- bringing in vermin
- not maintaining the property as per your lease
- multiple neighbor complaints

With Philthy's hoarding, filth and general stench, I'd place gets on their place having acquired vermin. And that's grounds for eviction anywhere in and of itself.
 
Even his tolerant SJW e-buddies are getting sick of his entitled bullshit. Coworkers, especially in a blue collar job like warehouse work, would dress him down on his idiocy on day one. Then the furious bouncing and squeaking would begin and Phil would be employment deficient once again before his third day could begin.

The only thing that surprises me about all this is that it hasn't happened sooner. It amazed me that he got housing and it amazed me that he seemed to just about keep his head above water on the rent. Still, this chimpout looks like it's worth the wait.
 
I still wonder how Phil and Toren met in the first place. Probably through the dwindling network of asspatters online.

Just Phil moving in counts as a vermin infestation. Once Slingblade moves in, it's a double vermin infestation.

Yeah, but this is Phil and Slingblade. Do you honestly think they have the cunning to be able to drag out an eviction?

And then starts making claims that the warehouse raped him. It's a shame you can't toss large buildings dedicated to the storage of wares and materials into a storm drain when you're upset like you can with hormones.

At least they don't breed. Thank God.
