I'm not sure how to feel about the fact I was reminded of/was watching these around the same time as this or maybe a day or 2 after. I don't know the specific timeframe because days have been bleeding together all I know is I found out hotwheels (brennan mc8chan) died after I finished looking through some actual hotwheels shit with these and observing the insane scalper prices people want for the cars.

basically this is one of the few times hot wheels decided to add lore to their cars beyond movie tie in cars, started witht the world racers movie and then a timeskip to the tv miniseries of acceleracers which had a really weird method of release I forgot about where ther's like minisodes between each tv special movie length one. A few years ago apparently reddit people decided the cars were worth trying to sell for 20-100 dollars on ebay depending on what car it was. Yes I know this is off topic a bit from vtubers but fuck man I need to check to see if I still got the things because these ebay listings are so fucking beat to shit compared to what mine are likely like.

Anyways yeah the thing was generally popular when it came out and seems to have only grown in popularity a little since release. Apparently last year it turned 20 and I missed them re-issuing a bunch of the cars, likely because scalpers snagged all the stock and I wasn't fucking focusing on whatever the fuck was going on with hotwheels people.
