All I'll say is that as a JP viewer I'm happy that we have new talents who both reside in Japan and have a grasp on our language. Can't say much for Bibi since she's still out of commission but I think her and Malice could fill in for the void left after our previous primarily EN talent for the JPbros turned out to be an absolute nutcase.

i saw some of gen 4. they're very much the "damn vtubing is an over saturated market" gen, no standouts. so far.

but i can't say i watch vtubers these days anyways.

I thought this about streaming in general 10 years ago.
I was very wrong.

Now with this I'd say its more phase is growing too large too fast for its own good.
Some of the talents are definitely streaming in dead phase hours though, so that works for them.
I also thought HoloLive was too big and oversaturated about 2 generations ago and they seem to still be doing numbers.

It just really is hard to comprehend large numbers of people.
I'd imagine people who focus on phase itself though are going to be overwhelmed by the amount of talents.

I think most of it has to do with entertainment value, most people will move on to something else if they feel like they get more out of it. That's why new gens still work, it's why new streamers get larger audiences than someone random unentertaining guy/girl who has been trying to make it for years, etc.

Streaming and especially VTubing for the entertaining ones is a pretty small group when you think about it. They can also pass around a large audience base without much friction whereas if it's like Hasan passing his audience to Asmongold it's going to be a shit show. Really the only VTubers that cannot find success on a decent sized scale are political troons.

I imagine Cover has made more from sponsored streams in the last six months than they did in the last two years of just streaming revenue. Pretty soon Mori Calliope's going to be shilling transition drugs if Cover gets paid enough.

The card game is the big recent moneymaker. I'm sure they're wasting it all on HoloEarth.

Doing so much more sponsorshit lately is a short-term cash-grab that's ruining their "performing arts school for anime girls" image—which the company (except for the girls) hates so much it would rather die anyway.

Gigi, who's otherwise cool, fucking loves doing sponsored streams. Total depravity.

Reminder that like 2 years ago, Youtube channels with low six figure subs were earning ~$10k for a single Raid Shadow legends ad read. On a single video. Imagine what the rate looks like for the average 2-3 hour Holo EN stream.

Really can't blame any girl going for the bag on those offers. Same thing with Pippa's pretty obvious war chest building of late.

Most the saga girls stream while I'm at work so watched all of them
I really like them alot, so far Malice is my favourite to listen to while working since she has a soft voice (also she has my favourite model)
I'm just really glad to have some options now I used to only watch clio at work and sometimes I get tired of map games

Bibi is a joy to watch.
Everyone but the ice queen has come out with a cover already.

I'm not counting the supposed to be cat, because I don't know what's going on with her outside of her being saved by Jesus or something. Saga's worked really hard and it's clear that they agreed to all work together as a generation out of the gate, which is needed in a large agency.

Fish man should probably figure out his merch situation before he grabs another pixel woman because it's getting ridiculous.

Speaking of fish the mermaid from this gen needs to up her game, ASMR is tired even in the indie scene at this point. She needs to minimize the amount and make those count or else she's gonna get left in the dust. A PhaseFag will watch an ASMR every once in awhile but what a PhaseFag really wants is a woman with no filter and I can tell that her filter is heavy, it's hindering her.
Would be a shame too since she's a wonderful singer and has already put a lot of work into the covers she's done.

I like how some of them are putting ASMR behind memberships, if people want it that bad they can pay for it. Sinon should probably do the same because I'm not watching that, her doing it that much after debut really turned me off her streams.
