I am convinced pey does very little independent/critical higher thinking and instead just goes throughout life on autopilot, taking cues on how to behave from other people and mimicking their behavior to fit in socially, but having no independence or individuality of her own. If the npc ever meme applied, it would be to her.

With the pool I think she must have just seen somewhere that women+bathing suit = attention and went with it without understanding anything about why.
