Well gee, maybe don't blow something so massively out of proportion that it's gets national media attention to the point that no one wants to deal with YouTubers.

DeFranco is relevant in that he manages to attract the rare more moderate normie crowd. I find it hard to dislike anything he does.

That's what Phil does best. Although self-identitified as a liberal, Phil tries to make strides to garner a conversation; something that's more and more rarer among the left as it cannibalizes itself.

Maybe he's just testing how far he can go. I think it's a gimmick that he knows he can get away with to an extent. Personally I wouldn't do it if I were him because it would make me look bad. I don't find it humorous. Just edgy and lame. But I am not 12 and don't watch Pewdiepie.

Actually does anyone know if Campo Santo is allowed to remove the game? Or is that not covered by DMCA? The argument that Sean encourages other devs to prevent PewDiePie to play really necessitate him to remove those videos? Or that he can't play their games anymore in the future? The money PewDiePie made on the video doesn't have to be returned right?

I think the Dmca is fairly reasonable if the only thing PewDiePie has to do is not play their games.
 
I really dislike the fact that he's not taking action. Yeah he's being the much bigger man in this situation, but doing that is just letting these assholes free reign to abuse the system, fully supported by Youtube and Google's shitty broken infrastructure.
 
It might be of note that Youtube is automatically demonetizing the audio and even the video footage itself of the clip from Pewdiepie's stream, so besides it being "ad unfriendly" it might discourage opportunists coming out with videos about the incident just to make money.

Basically, is youtube getting better?
 
Remember when you had to actually do something seriously harmful to get this much outrage from the press?
