A Pennsylvania state representative who died last month was reelected during the midterm elections, reports say.

Democrat Anthony "Tony" DeLuca died Oct. 9 "after a brief battle with lymphoma, a disease he twice previously beat. He was 85," the Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus wrote.

DeLuca was Pennsylvania's longest-serving state rep, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"While we're incredibly saddened by the loss of Representative Tony DeLuca, we are proud to see the voters to continue to show their confidence in him and his commitment to Democratic values by re-electing him posthumously. A special election will follow soon," Pennsylvania House Democrats said in a tweet.

DeLuca's opponent, Green Party challenger Queonia "Zarah" Livingston, reportedly ran on a decidedly left-wing platform, putting her three main priorities on her website as "environmental justice," "ending the war on drugs," and "reducing gun violence."

DeLuca was a resident of Penn Hills for over 60 years. He got his start in politics serving on the Penn Hills Government Study Commission, then five years as a Penn Hills Councilman, followed by two years as Penn Hills Deputy Mayor before running for his legislative seat and defeating the Republican incumbent.

He graduated from Westinghouse High School and the Community College of Allegheny County. He had four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his late wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Larry and his parents.

Oh yeah, if you look at some of the things he did and keep in mind that he fucking hated the people in the Senate it's easy to conclude that he was humiliating the Senate by doing some top tier IRL shitposting.
I think it's become more and more common to view Caligula's actions to be less the work of a madman, and instead a spoiled but cunning shitposter.
Senate doesn't cooperate with me? Elect a horse as a senator to show how useless they are.
My soldiers won't do as I say? Have them pound sand for a few days in a hopeless war against the ocean then decimate them for their failure once you get back to Rome.

Did anyone read the fucking article? He was a man who personally lived family values, ran against a Green mad cow with a nose ring, and died too late to be replaced.

Also, yes, a corpse, or an AIDS tard baby, or a vegetable Fetterperson who votes with you is still better than someone who can form complete sentences and votes with the Child Mutilation Party. In fact you should've voted corpse even if you hated his guts, because a corpse gives you a chance to run your guy in the special (Rs say they will).

Those are all true, but you have to understand the narrative this election cycle is setting for PA being a state full of retards who will elect brain dead and actual dead people.

I am surprised the DNC is not trying to call people lifeist for refusing to allow a corpse to serve.

This dude had his seat for 40 years and was still running for election. These political ghouls never know when to retire. That might be a good thing in the long run especially when the Democrat hierarchy and Reagan Era Republicans begin finally dying off.

Unfortunately there are still people who want Trump to run again in 2024, as if we need another decrepit, 80 year old POTUS.

Really, though, I think you could sum up the Republican midterms as "Trump fucked everything up and cost them the Senate". Kind of funny seeing him throw his own wife under the bus due to Dr. Oz, though. His candidate picks were such garbage it sometimes makes me wonder if this is really some kind of long con to destroy the Republican party from the inside.

He's also put himself on some very thin ice going after DeSantis, who absolutely destroyed Crist with a 20% margin (well above what the polls said in fact). I don't think we'll be hearing as much from Trump going forward.

Regarding this guy, by virtue of being dead he can't do any harm. Sucks that he died from lymphoma though, terrible way to go.

On one hand, this is ridiculous and shows that the US is a lost cause. On the other hand, the corpse defeated a green party member.

I am conflicted.
It's a good indicator that even a literal corpse (other than biden) are better than hippy jihadis

Wasn't that one also partially to prove that despite being an emperor some things are futile? Sure, you're all powerful in the sense of other people, but you are like a regular person when fighting a god/nature.

That's fine, but why the fuck are the choices between a corpse and a dick chopping lunatic? You'd think there'd be anyone else who'd at least show up to have their name in the pool, even if they didn't campaign.
