Playing devil's advocate here, DSP at least delivers on his patreon rewards last I checked, besides, he doesn't need this to get fucked over, he's done it to himself.

My takeaway from this is this- Zoe and Ali and Moocow and the Ratkings....ALL of them are lower than an actual autistic. Course CWC is also something Legendary, which they also wish they were. Well done dangerhair. A guy with crayons is cooler than you

Early in the thread there were screencaps of people losing patrons...a lot of them were at the $5 tier and they got rid of their donation instead of just bumping it down to $1(.38).

I think this was a wake-up call for people who had donations they would already have wanted to cancel but forgot/were lazy. (Or the circular donations of course.)

They could just do what Venmo does, where they expect circular transfers to happen, and you just add the funds into your account when you've sorted your shit out. But then I guess the users couldn't inflate thir income to make yourself look important.

That's what I'd expect. A lot of people will choose to direct $10 to one person now instead of $1 to 10 people. It will ultimately benefit creators who are seen by the donor community to be most "worthwhile".

He's been suicide baiting for the past couple of weeks largely because of Trump and his refusal to have anyone help him mentally and financially. Also threw a tantrum about how there's no War on Christmas before fantasizing about destroying Christmas decorations at a store.

So far the closest I've seen regarding it is a retweeting of Phelous' "I'm sort of worried about all these sudden pull-outs over the choice to alter Patreon donations this way does anyone know why Patreon did this" Tweet. Much more cautious pessimism than outright panic in Channel Awesome territory.

Meanwhile, in Dumbfuckistan, the troons are continuing to have shrieking meltdowns over what is in all seriousness a fucking minor change.
