Chip-Chan (Park Je-an) is a South Korean woman who has been living the same hellish life since the 90's.
She spends her time either sleeping +12 hours a day at irregular intervals and in very uncomfortable positions, or aimlessly browsing the internet. Her room is unclean and covered in signs with text written in Korean. She used to livestream her life. She would not interact with the audience or even speak, using the livestream to broadcast a nonsensical Korean message over and over. She stopped livestreaming in 2020, but eventually came back.
In the last year or so, she has begun to go outside more. She spends her time outside filming police officers (archive).
Police officers sometimes get annoyed by her and film her back.
She was discovered by /x/ on August 6th 2011 in an unsecured webcam thread (NSFW). Initially they believed her to be dead, causing the thread to blow up. People dug into who she was, translating the numerous signs in her room written in Korean and finding her numerous blogs. Eventually she woke up.
Graphic made by Chip-Chan.
She claims that in 1997 (or 1999), a police officer who she calls "P" or "Park Sung-Dong" who she has met 2-3 times in her life kidnapped her and put VeriChip microchips in her left eyebrow and her foot "at a cartilage bone 3cm off the anklebone". "P" uses these microchips to control her and apparently has turned the police force against her, causing her extreme paranoia and distrust of law enforcement. She began to livestream to raise awareness of her situation and to get people to contact her former landlord, Park Sang-Man, and get him to have "P" back away. It is unknown if "P" is a real person.
She used to live in 292-3 Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
She has gotten numerous visitors. None have managed to change her ways.
An old woman visits.
Man visits to help chip-chan with her internet.
An American man comes to visit.
She suffers from numerous health issues. It is unknown what is causing them, with people speculating they are caused by sepsis or diabetes.
She has contacted a doctor over these concerns.
