Just a few days after Paramount announced that a handful of projects would be removed from its Paramount+ streaming platform, even more shows are being pulled.

What shows are being pulled from Paramount+?

A recent report from Deadline notes that shows Inside Amy Schumer, From Cradle to Stage (a docuseries based on Dave Grohl’s mother’s book Tell Me a Story), and Ghislaine: Partner in Crime (a docuseries about Ghislaine Maxwell, the partner of Jeffrey Epstein) have all been pulled from the streaming service as of Tuesday. Alongside them, movies Fantasy Football and Snow Day have also been removed.

Besides those projects, a ton of different Nickelodeon programs have also been taken off of the streaming service. These include All In With Cam Newton, Allegra’s Window, Becca’s Bunch, Bella and the Bulldogs, Crashletes, Digby Dragon, The Fresh Beat Band, The Halo Effect, Legendary Dudas, Monsters vs. Aliens, Mutt & Stuff, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Peter Rabbit, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, and Ride and The Troop.
While it’s unclear the exact reasoning for this most recent cutting of content, it’s likely that tax write-offs play a role.

Last week, Paramount removed Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe, and The Game from the platform entirely in an effort to save money.

In a statement to THR, the company explained that it would be removing projects that were underperforming off of their streaming services for tax purposes, so this likely continues that trend.
“In the unified Paramount+ with Showtime plan, the Showtime portfolio of edgy, critically acclaimed programming will complement the broad and popular Paramount+ library in a seamless offering that appeals to everyone, enables more discovery between the brands and builds overall viewership,” said a Paramount+ spokesperson. “As we prepare to combine Paramount+ and Showtime later this month in the U.S., we are refining our content offering to deliver the best streaming experience for subscribers.

Editors note: I'm pretty sure the Pink Ladies show made them one black, one tranny, one Mexican, and one mystery meat. Also all of Paramount's new Trek is absolute gay nigger faggot dog shit.

Who knew that pissing all over established IPs does not pay off.

Rise of the Pink Ladies is the most irrelevant origin story since Ratched. Where did they come from? Who gives a fuck?

The only thing I've heard about on this list is Snow day and that's because my FIL put it on by mistake last Christmas thinking it was the Snow Day movie with Chevy Chase. He turned it off after 5 minutes. It sucks that I can't watch Wrath of Kahn on Paramount+ right now but it's on Amazon. So again I just buy a physical copy. Just stick with physical copies.

Or get on a private tracker and pirate all the shit.

I paid for a one year subscription when it first came out. It occasionally has interesting shows and the old stuff like Indiana Jones 1 2 3 and 3 are nice to rewatch, but I don't know if I'll renew next year or not.

It's almost like every studio having their own streaming service was a bad idea or something...
If they made the service reasonably priced and produced good content instead of "Black Homo Kangs" exclusively, it could have worked out for a lot of them.

I think there's two directions to take streaming now:

1: the studios form a consortium and offer a handful of mega-stream sites that house pretty much everything. But you could divide it up to lower costs of hosting and licensing and all that and offer a lower price to the more discerning consumer. So there'd be a mega streaming site for all or most sporting events including wrestling and Olympics and shit like that. Then you'd have movies, TV shows, etcetera. Which is something NBC/Fox/Disney (pre-merger) had until they fucked it all up. They could have very easily achieved but they got greedy and short-sighted. I'm sure there was a monkey see monkey do mentality going on where "Well, if Disney's doing this then we have to do this. We don't want to be left behind!"

2: they all go ad-supported with a premium option to remove the ads. Tubi (owned by Fox ironically enough) has seen TREMENDOUS success with this model. Not all of the big services will survive this transition but they could spin themselves off as more niche and focus much more on QUALITY content that people actually want to watch.

Bonus 3rd option: the studios double and triple down and continue to support unprofitable streaming services in an effort to control the market. This is why piracy is the better option.

The only thing Paramount+ is good for is Bar Rescue
I remember when SpikeTV was still a thing. They had their own streaming app on Roku that you could access all of their shit just by confirming your cable provider information. Didn't have to pay extra for it. Nothing but Cops, Auction Hunters, Flip Men, and yes... Bar Rescue.

it sucks we can't have nice things anymore.

Imo tubi does look like a much nicer service, and their business model literally encourages their shows to be good and I support that. I just never see anyone talk about tubi exclusives or such so I keep forgetting they exist.

Do all you people not know of piratebay or yifis

Everytime I hear people complain about "omg where will i watch my favourite shows/movies now????" it leaves baffled as to how tech illiterate the average person is.

The average person exists in a walled garden where everything is spoonfed to them by Apple or Google. Widespread computer literacy peaked in the early 2000's and cratered once the internet was on our phones.

On topic, Paramount is basically the AMC of the major movie studios. No, I will not elaborate further.

Streaming services were supposed to be easy and convenient at an affordable price. Plus torrenting without being careful gets you tersely worded emails forwarded by your isp with threats of a reckoning. But it's admittedly worth looking into again, but no idea how to get to a good private service.
