Looking forward to trying 2003 out later because I've seen the Servants snowball hard in it and have the Alien Nation spawn within 4-5 years even on milder difficulties.
I'm on veteran, I think I saw my first AA spawn in 2006ish. It's late 2010 now and I've just defeated the AA for the 3rd time, just in time for the ayys to drop a fucking assault carrier (that I 100% did not see coming) on me.

Warmonger, Stability and Sons of Ragnarok is proving a very effective combo for Germanic pagans. I picked Temporal head of faith but didnt realise the HOF title was inherited by your eldest son instead of with your primary title like CK3. Elective gavelkind made me play as an elder cousin instead, who is pretty awesome ngl but I want the Fylkirate back, I'm supposed to be the one directing the great holy wars, damn it. I think I just have to ensure that the heir to the HOF title also gets elected to the empire title. Or maybe I should just fucking duel him and any other kinsmen who inherits the title before me with the Wolf Warriors' duel rival ability.

What are other good combinations for pagan reformation? I kind of regret not taking Astrology for access to hermetic society, but I think I'll be trying a Hellenic run soon anyway.

What are some good Paradox content creators on Youtube? I want to ease myself in before I get involved with these games, I figure I can easily absorb a lot of knowledge thru osmosis like this and figure out which one of their games fits me the most.

They don't exist, they're all either paid shills or schizotier politards and both communicate in plebbit tier soyspeak, disregarding them entirely would by my recommendation, simply play the game(s) instead. CK2 is the best one you should start with that, it has a comprehensive wiki better than any sloptuber.

It is free on Steam and you can find the DLCs for free too on the Russian CS website easily enough, your first game should be as an Irish count in 1066/a French Duke in the Iron Century bookmark, expect to fuck up but don't let that get you down; you're playing the dynasty not the character/country. After you get a feel for the mechanics give Haestein/Temujin/Otto a try, if you produce any interesting family trees make sure to post (genetic) progress.

Enoch Inri for Victoria 2, Dino Stan for CK2, Breadgod Gaming for CK3, ISorrowProductions for HOI4. The majority of CK3 Youtubers are blatant paid shills, they can be entertaining but I'm confident Paradox glazes them to praise the game in return for liaisons with the company and giving them exclusive info on upcoming updates, generating both hype for Paradox and high views for the Youtuber. They even invite some to their studio, which is then typically followed by an uptick in videos from said YouTuber.

Whatever you do stay away from the bokoen1 sphere, unless you want to become a complete and total faggot

That's the feeling I got, same thing with Total War content creators. How is Andy's Paradox, is he an infamous shill or just an ordinary one? I get a weird hunch from his videos specifically, but maybe Paradox shills are just all like that.

Looks like his last CK3 video was trashing the coronations update (rightfully so), so he's not a shill for that franchise at the very least. Generally, if they voice criticisms and have harsh words for some parts of the game, they're okay. Dino Stan brings it up in every other video how much he hates the Conclave DLC and always switches it off. Personally I quite like it because it forces you to consider not just a candidate's aptitude for a council position, but also their opinion of you and their general predispositon when it comes to voting on council decisions (passing laws, revoking titles, declaring wars etc.).
Check out Koifish if you want to see one that is totally in their pocket. Everything is positive and exciting, even in the rare case that he criticises something he does it softly like "ah I like this but i think it needs a little fixing hehe", and then it coincidentally gets a little fixed not long after.

ViveLeRoy used to be pretty good at EU4 meme content and ocasional CK2 but he pretty much never uploads anymore, though thankfully that is because he is working on his own Grand Strategy game about the Reconquista (which he would shill on his channel like a chad)

His game (demo is out on steam)

Seconded on Vive le Roi, also Spudgun is right now probably the best Paradox Content creator.

Does mainly Vic 2 multiplayer campaigns but has also branched out into EU5 content recently, he also has non-paradox content like OpenTTD, Lethal Company and Mount and Blade. His Vic 2 series are the bread and butter though, and are probably the biggest source of memes in the Vic 2 community - in fact a certain user in this thread has even made one of them into his PFP. He also got into a fight with Bokeon1, once one of the top PDX youtubers, during the leadup to Vic3 that so thoroughly emasculated Bokoen he trooned out.

His series as Aragon and fighting a 10 year Great War was also excellent. Idk why he only plays DOD though.

From what I gather, DoD is a lot more dynamic in multiplayer. The current multiplayer fork is pretty much set up for some good player wars throughout the game, and is a lot more balanced than the vanilla game world.
That's part of it, DoD is also a good balance between vanilla sandbox and additional flavor content - Vicky 2 multiplayer being infamously unstable makes playing heavily railroaded mods virtually impossible.

He does have plenty of other series though. He's in an Heirs to Aquitania series right now, did a Napoleon's Legacy series last year, his Canada Cinematic Universe was the last cinematic universe series, and a lot of his older series/one-off videos are vanilla or different mods. DoD is just his most iconic content.

ThatGuyFromCollege is the only one in that sphere who’s bearable to watch, and I’m very certain that he’s trying to move his content away from map games.

Thanks for the suggestions. Currently I am watching some Total War playthrus, but when a window opens up, I will check out some Paradox game series.

Hmm, I wonder who could that be?
Notepad++ and paint.net
I had this setup when I was making Vic2 mods for myself during the lockdowns. Good times.

Gilded Destiny News
Dev Diary 36 is here! It's about naval warfare.

(You can also read it on Steam)

Blockades are actually going to impact trade and you'll be able to starve countries to death.

The way naval warfare is implemented makes it seem doing U-boat campaign, as in using submarines to bypass your enemies' navies and blockade their countries, is going to be possible.
