As pozzed as the TTYD remake got, I still think we left the dark age of Mario RPGs for good.
I really missed Mario & Luigi and I'm so happy to finally get a new entry that isn't a remake.
I hope they don't overdo it with the tutorials and gimmicks but the trailer itself looked amazing, just need to get used to the new VA for the bros.

Call me optimistic, but I think this new Mario and Luigi and that Zelda game look amazing

I don't know about amazing, but they looked good, especially Mario.

Hold your enthusiasm until we see how many trannies are in this one.
I'm hoping that was a one-off that NoA opportunistically seized upon since Nintendo rarely has fags or fag adjacent characters in their Mario games. We should be in the clear...

I mean, it’s the first true console Mario and Luigi game and it looks like they pulled out all the bells and whistles to make that a fact, I love the gradient cell shading, and the combos we saw has a lot of variation to the input styles which is where Mario and Luigi really stood out,

For Zelda, it takes the Links Awakening remake aesthetic(I genuinely love the toy look but I know many hated it) and gives it a unique puzzle take on the Zelda formula that to me looked like Zelda meets scribblenaughts, but I’m mostly excited for it because you can see a lot of ideas from BotW and TotK being reintroduced into the top down Zelda play style. I think the biggest chance for failure is if we end up with a singular copy ability that breaks the game so much you can just rely on it for everything.

This was my thought as well. I don't think we'll see any truly tough puzzles and that there's going to be one or two items that you end up using for the entire game. If not made correctly, I can see this game getting really boring very quickly

I guess the two CD-I games don't count.
you know, you'd think with all the bitching people do about those games that someone would make like an updated hack or standalone remake that fixes all the issues the original CDi games had.

I mean some guy made a mod to improve an old ass Garfield PC game so anything's possible.

I'm still not a big fan of alot of the townsfolk character designs from SPM, I get that it takes place across multiple dimensions, but all the townspeople look the same made up of basic geometric shapes. Wish they went with more wild designs like the Beta cats they found in the Korean version EAHOmX3XsAEQ93q.jpg I wanna get to know these dudes, tattle them with Tippi, learn their names.
This was only found in a specific region's port, which strongly points to the idea that these assets had nothing to do with the Paper Mario game on any level.

What do you think the designs were intended for , then
Could just be leftovers from something unrelated that got lumped in with the files for the port. This was more common with cartidge-based games since they reused development hardware whenever they started new projects

The graphics are good, but there's something minor that I dislike about them and I can't put my finger on it...

However... MAN THOSE ANIMATIONS ARE GOLDEN!

Overall, I'm feeling very optimistic about it too, It looks like it will be way better than Bowser's Inside Story.

Hold your enthusiasm until we see how many trannies are in this one.
The only way this could happen is if Intelligent Systems were the ones developing this game. And by the looks of it, it's very unlikely (because the game looks like it had effort put into it).

Actually by the looks of it, I wanna bet it's being produced by a team of former AlphaDream developers, there's something unique about their writing, character design and animation style that I don't think any other company could replicate that easily.

They forgot the staple of Luigi's socks being partly exposed in some poses to show how he's the slightly bit bit taller/less "put together" of the two. They only really had that in these games and it's like one of the most iconic parts of the spinoff's artstyle.
