The reason for the shitty framerate is that they're reusing the engine for Color Splash, Origami King.. Honestly a shame.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but the banjo/undertale talk sound is fucking unbelievable. Some of them sound so bad. It sounds autistic but when you're a kid it's fun to imagine the characters' voices, now it's all thrown out the window.

For what it's worth, Origami King got a 60 FPS mod on day 1.

I won't deny when I played Super Paper Mario, I always did find the textspeech sfx mildly grating since it sounded like stirring a pot of legos everytime they spoke.
But compared to Goombella's (and unfortunately, probably other characters as well) speech, the SPM text sounds soothing than clown horn-bella.
 
It doesn't bother me, the fps. Tales of Symphonia however it did at first but I got used to it.

Can I just say, Madame Flurrie was a fucking beast in the original. Ironically she and Ms Mowz can demolish enemies with high defense. Hopefully they don't fuck it up.

I'm loving the lighting designs. The arena now looks like a legit wrestling arena. I'm curious how the Shadow Queen will look. She wasn't really papery in the original. I assume she'll have more dark fog around her.

I don't know what bothers me more about the thumbnail, the Beldam with the freaky angry eyes plastered on her face (and probably following a Twitter trend where the evil transphobes are called out with pics of her) or Mario from the first Paper Mario game.

The video creator (and a lot of other of other Nintendo YouTubers) can’t fathom the idea that when fans were asking for a remake of a beloved game, one of the expectations was that it wouldn’t be a bastardized, worse version of the original.

and this is exactly what I was attacking, if you want 60 FPS on all your modern games and think it's a literal warcrime the game is locked under 60 you're either a sperg or a goober gamer who needs to touch grass, maybe both. Simple as that.

Just emulate the game if you care so much, Nintendo doesn't. :smug: They even censored shit that shouldn't have been censored.

I really don't get what your hostility is with me, I just simply said I think it's ridiculous for a remake of a game to run worse than the original, I can live with 30FPS I play retro shit all the time so i'm used to it, I just think it's stupid and inexcusable for a game like paper mario to run worse because there is no logical reason, no more no less
