Get to the world tree first and farm there for a while and you'll wind up with tons of disposable high level implants to make glass cannons. Ignore the regen/health drain skills because they don't work in the Arena. I use a fully condensed/awakened team of Solenne/Katress/Dupin and they smoke the master level team in 10-15 seconds even without focusing on the pal tamer captain.

There's lots of good builds for farming the world tree areas for drops, just find the area you feel like farming and build a pal team with drop bonus abilities to maximize gains. I'd advise always having a fully condensed Katress and Blazehowl Noct (with saddle) just for the dog coin drops. For solo play I maxed out drop setting and go to triple spawns because I ain't got time for grinding and with those settings I'll nab 2300-3200ish dog coins per set of 3 mimogs.

I don't need to really stress about and the fishing stuff for materials i've not had any problems with. I have an autofisher on so i just sit back and relax to fishy with my Goober Fishy. DOGE coins have a mod that drop from normal pals so its not op but they build up nicely when i'm out trying to get my mimog trophies.

I haven't worked out what to do with awakening yet but it's on my list just having a break and playing monster hunter stories 3 atm.

I should probably look into mods at some point just for little QOL stuff. Getting the stuff for awakening isn't difficult at all and I can easily farm up 30-50k dog coins in about half an hour for level up fruits/skill books/IV fruit. I have a ton of maxed out pals from little effort just by playing smart and drop maxxing. Awakening is no big deal either because if you hit the dusty ravine in the world tree area with a menasting/menasting terra fully condensed you will get a fuckton of drops to toss in the recycler which will shit out implants, gems, and other goodies like nobody's business.

I'm playing solo so the QOL stuff for me is just time saving, the fishing in particularly is not implemented in a fun fishing model so i just cast click and wait. Same with the pal surgery table, with the workshop on steam it's made it so much easier to install it all and it's up to date unlike Nexus.

I've not reached the dusty ravine yet, but i might dedicate my day off to at least awakening one pal. Most of my team are full iv'd now anyway.
 
This game is broken and unbalanced as shit, has garbage AI and is a half finished buggy phone game larping as a finished video game with a story no one gives 2 shits about and it's STILL more enjoyable than anything Pokemon has made in the last decade.

It's full of clusters of orserks and a that new electric/ground snail. If you fully condense a menasting, a menasting terra, and a vaelet you'll be an insane amount of loot from there. The world tree water is the biggest bottleneck for end game mats and that particular combo will bypass it. Just got a legendary beam launcher schematic last night and even at lower qualities it's great for farming groups in there.

pokemon is the exact same way with their galar forms even galar rapidash is just a remodeled rapidash turn into a basic unicorn, its not that really different at all from any ol cartoon unicorn from a children book, if you told me it gave off "palworld vibes" i would generally believe it ironically :lit:

(but serious, what do these rant post even do? i don't think whining into the wind on twitter hoping people would agree with their opinions would fix anything, honestly, if anything its their fault for failing to secure the idea years ago, but they were too focused making gen 1 clones which ended up oversaturating the monster tamer genre to even come up with a simple idea of making a monster tamer that wasn't a turn based centered game.)
but monster sanctuary gets a pass, that one is fun

I much prefer regional/elemental variants than whatever random ass gimmick Pokémon adds for a game only to never use again.

Like do we really expect them to use Gigantamax or Alphas or whatever that corral thing was in the last gen of Pokemon.
 
I'll give Pokemon credit to which I actually want Palworld to steal from.

I know this might be a bit of a conflicting idea, but the idea of Koraidon & Miraidon were cool as fuck & I wish Palworld made it's own version of it. Hell, the skin potential alone will be endless. Imagine a Bosozoku variant, Tron Lightcycle variant, Ghost Rider variant, etc.

I actually wish they rip or innovate on the idea of vehicular pals. I just know Palworld will do a better job at initiating the idea than Nintendo. Hell, they could even do car ones (imagine a Monster Truck Pal). We can even get races for co-op through those, & be hardcore racists.

Educated guess: Sekhmet will be in the top 5, if not the top 3. I'm just hoping Gildra gets some love from the community.

The Pal Merchant has my vote for contributing to my human trafficking front early on. Hundreds of lives came and went through his hands. Here's hoping that tidbit doesn't come up during the elections. :bogged:
