What is the deal with the Palworld TCG? I was in town today and I stopped at the LGS looking to pick up a pack to see if I could luck into getting a Grintale and they were out. I asked the guy working there and he told me they got cleared out the day they went on sale with people buying multiple sealed boxes. This shit just came out, right? It doesn't have an estbalished player base or a horde of hardcore collectors already does it?

still I was able to beat the 2nd tower with no issues and like a minute to spare, a fully condensed Hoocrates and switching between Lovander/Astegon was a breeze

Yeah I don't know anything about card games because I have reproduced and my name isn't JD Vance. I just though the collectible card game thing was centered around properties from 30 years ago that boomers were nostalgic for. I had no idea that something as fresh as Palworld could be snatched up like that.

Scalpers have been an absolute plauge on just about any hobby for the past decade+. Ever since gaming and nerd shit became mainstream, these worthless vultures have been doing this shit.

Jaysus, just barely beat hardmode Zoe, not because she's so deadly but because of the 5 minute timer, if you're not running an Orserk for the passive might as well not bother
fully condensed, awakened, enhanced, 100IV Anubis was even able to tank the shotgun leaf attack
I might just fully condense Daedream and Dazzi Noct since switching between more than 2 pals for combat to manage cooldowns is too clunky
I actually beat her using the pulse rifle/mechanical bow, a max comdensed awakened Alpha Sekhmet and a max condensed awakened Alpha Leifsn(she gets stronger with every grass pal on your party, which I was carrying two more of, one of which causes any bullet/arrow you hit an enemy with to explode if they’re covering in Ivy).
I find the lack of male models to be disturbing. I can understand though as most of the "men" in palworld are rather twink like with the exception of viking guy.
can confirm that a fully condensed Tetroise Primo actually does make your items indestructible (the description made it seem like it would just double the durability), I can throw away the miniguns for a singleshot hard hitter finally
tried hardmode Faleris but to nobody's surprise everything but hydro laser whiffs on that faggot because he flies so I'll need to use limp noodle attacks on it, also its fireball takes around 40% of my active Pal's health even with the fire reduction talisman and ring
pretty sure it's not supposed to be the case because Orserk was barely doing ~15% with his biggest nukes, fuck that electric fence around the arena too

Faleris is an actual motherfucker like I said because he not only flies, but flies high and relatively far away so most attacks miss
the difficulty of hardmode bosses comes from the trash adds that spawn at the start, tanking your DPS in a huge way - Victor is actually the easiest fight because he only spawns a clone at around 20% HP and by then you can simply tell your Pal to focus the original
here's a rough DPS comparison for the fights
as you can see Faleris is a close shave and I used Astegon in that fight, who has around 20% more attack than Lovander - it was a must because an Alpha is so gigantic that the hitbox hovers far enough from the ground to make all ground attacks whiff
Victor is a joke, I was honestly in awe of how quickly he was melting, he's probably the glass cannon of the lineup
Bjorn I was initially sketchy about at the start of the fight because he was talking very little damage but eventually it started catching up (in no small part thanks to fire DoT I believe) - as much as I have faith in Astegon I wouldn't want to subject it to enduring ice attacks from that bastard, especially since even Shadowbeak was already hitting pretty hard
Auri has an INSANE damage output and also flies so you better have good regen, lifesteal and strong electric attacks, ice misses too often to reliably heal, keeping myself alive was an immense challenge too
here's the setup I ran for the remaining three (Swapped Lovander on bosses with a lot of ground nukes), all fully condensed (Lovander is supposedly D tier for combat, lol)
demon eye and hoocrates have passives with the same effect and they stack (60% total), giving Lovander over 6k and Astegon over 7k attack, Tertoise Primo to make your items indestructible, Orserk obviously for the monstrous buff that has a permanent uptime thanks to the drone launcher being indestructible
my character's DPS input was piddly, I only brought the base mechanical bow to be able to dispose of grunts relatively quickly (3 charged headshots per), the rest was dodging and firing the boost gun
personal overall difficulty ranking for the baseline towers would be Auri/Shamalamadingdong >> Marcus/Faleris > Zoe/Grizzbolt > Axel/Orserk > Toblerone/Bazingor >> Lily/Lyleen >>>> Victor/Shadowbeak
I don't think I'll run hardmode Astralym yet, that seems like it would need borderline exploits to be feasible
better focus on the arena
It's a raid, there straight up is no way to win it with just a party sadly. You need bare minimum 60 fully upgraded pals to throw at it to have any chance of winning without changing the damage modifiers quite drastically. You can feasibly do it with less, but its gonna be a gamble every run because of how easy it can KO even maxed out Pals.
Hartalis Ultra and Astralym just have way too much HP and Defense to make it through with a party. In my opinion, Xenolord Ultra is the absolute limit of how far a party can go alone, and that one may be pushing it.

all enemy Pals have 6-8k more HP than fully condensed, awakened alphas and basically 2shot my party, fucking look at this
enemy trainers literally take 1-10 damage from any attack so focusing them does nothing

Palworld Raids on YT has party only "soloed" everything unless I'm forgetting something. Lots of gimmicks that just nuke things outright for tower bosses, and he's a big proponent of mount mons.

I never trust these types of channels until I see someone else replicate the damage/performance
the difficulty checking at the end is particularly fishy because there is no need to even dive into the settings, if you change literally anything it will always say "custom"
