I like Sakurajima for crude oil but, earlier in thread someone said there was a three ring crude set up near the first sanctuary. Honestly i'd just set up where you like most of the stuff you can build on base for resources.
Your main base can be wherever you find prettiest, and you want at least one more to park that godawful pal expedition building + breeding.

I filled in the other two with an ore + sulfur base and crude oil, and basically handmining the rest. Easy enough to do by the time you hit the crude oil wall because you get pals to reduce wood/ore weight and you can just bring home 5-6k worth of lumber/ore/whatever you need per trip.

My panda eugenics program finally paid off. Maybe it was bad luck but this took a shocking amount of time.

Hopefully I can use my pandas to make this a lot easier for other pals.

fresh hatch, I'll keep fishing for serenity implants now because Anubis could also use one, there's noticeable downtime after she uses all her moves
also finally awakened Lovander and honestly I thought it'd do more than just grant a boost in stats and a milkshake aura

the only noticeable increase is in HP, about 3k extra
I'm not sure if atk/def changed at all

oh yeah at the moment I'm farming the tree bosses and pretty much only Dandilord isn't complete cancer to to fight
the boss rush in the ice region requires way too much setting up since there isn't a solo build that will cover all weaknesses and have neutral defense against everything that spawns, I thought I'd have it covered with 3 pals alls running lasers of various elements but there's some weird hitbox fuckery and they would straight up whiff on a boss that was standing still
silvance is grass and this in itself isn't an issue, it's the awfulness of fire attacks - ignis rage never hits because he flies, volcanic rain is unusable because the arena's ceiling is too low so they just hit it and explode, fire breath and tornadoes just don't do enough damage to justify using them
Dandilord in the meantime is weak to dragon attacks which also happen to be the most devastating in the game (beam slicer, dragon meteor) on par with ice (diamond rain, blizzard spike, icicle line)

@Nick Gars Took a break from playing for a bit so didn't get the team set up until now, and Orserk is such a powerhouse, it's nice. I don't have Xenogard so I switched out Gobfin + Xenogard for Ophydia + Jormuntide, same traits as you said, and took down Zoe no problem. Going to start working on the other bosses, and hopefully a Xenogard shows up for me at some point. Thank you for the help.

Almost every single hour there is another "Da Hard Bosses R 2 Hard, PLZ NERF" thread on the Steam Discussion forum. When this many people get filtered by the first Hard boss, it becomes all too clear to me the average gamer is a literal neanderthal. These retards are exactly why so many games are hand holding dogshit with no teeth these days.
Even if you weren't able to build completely broken teams
Even if you weren't able to gear yourself up to obscene degrees
Even if you weren't able to palmaxx and make already broken pals more insanely broken

It's actually six, but you can't get them all in one base. Three works well enough. Also Terraria is right there and on my next new world I am making a beeline for terraria since you can get schematics for items that are craftable at the basic assembly line tier and which are far suprior to what you would be getting from tech level 32. You don't even need to go deep into the dungeon, just head in, take the left hand path where there are slimes and a chest and then bounce back out the front door.

I do keep a base in Sakurajima just so I can wait for meteor fall and catch Selyne. She is an insanely good mount for when you get her, and with a dark team kitted out to support her she can hit way above her paygrade against anything but dragons. Her goybeam will absolutely shred with even maginally blendered Hoocrates and Wistella. If you luck into hatching a Roujay breed up a Venusa and it gets even better. It's honestly really fun to just hover over one of the enemy bases, aim your mines through a window, fill the entire building with mines, and then goybeam through the walls once the mines all detonate and you can see the enemies health bars.

Speaking of oil, I’m really glad they added an upgrade to it where you can just post it anywhere and it’ll produce oil.
The electricity demand is pretty insane though, so be prepared to do some pal optimisations just to keep it running.

These were a god-send for me personally. Ever since I figured out it was still possible to get into the giant open area inside Mount Obsidian without the pet-clip in EA, its become ritual to put my main bases there. If I played MP, it would be a fantastic location. It's OoB, and very few people even know it exists. Kind of hard to get oil in there without those or another base out in the open lmao.

is that the upgraded crude oil rig? Cause i hate how ugly my base is with them not sitting flat if i can make them flat i'd rather do that.

wait is this why I couldn't place the upgraded extractors on shales themselves and had to settle for some crooked angles? DAMN I have to dismantle that base at once
Good heavens, you guys. I just discovered the autismic joy that is breeding. I was so-so about it until my first mutation, and now I'm all in and then some.

I had no idea this was even a thing.
now enjoy making an omelet until an alpha spawns with the desired traits, it's the only thing you cannot force in any way

Late game you can skip the desired traits part unless it's Legend or Elemental Boosts you're after. Farming for the legendary schems will get you a metric fuck load of implants in the process. All passives but the above mentioned can be spliced onto them. The better ones are single use, but you'll get a lot. 3x spawn and drop recommended as at this point, you're just going in circles blasting every Pal you see.

Edit: Also forgot to mention turn weight off as well for this bit. If you've made it this far putting up with it, you deserve to be able to actually farm.

Currently updating my Feybreak Frostallion army that took down Xenolord Ultra back then. This poor son of a bitch is going to have 90 new assholes once these demons get through with him this time around.
