A lot of people point towards this is being what set him off. He went on Joey Diaz's podcast, ate an absurdly strong edible, started panicking, then left. I know weed is pretty tame when compared to other drugs, but in high doses (especially when eaten rather than smoked) the effects are more psychedelic. And if you know anything about drugs you'll know that psychedelics are NOT good drugs to take if you suffer from particular mental illnesses such as schizophrenia.

I'm not entirely convinced that this was the spark that started the fire but it definitely didn't help.

Jesus, that video is so uncomfortable to watch. He's having a straight-up panic attack from that edible; he ain't just tripping balls.
 
I remember in one of his videos he shared a story about driving somewhere with his young son and how his son excitedly said "look daddy a faggot!" Made me feel bad about the lost innocence of his kids.

Joey Diaz has a very calming voice. Surprised it didn't soothe Owen. When Ari spiked Bert Kreischers, Bert was super anxious and called Joey Diaz to calm him down.

Also, for everyone optimistic enough about Porsalin releasing second part of documentary - the trailer for Unbearable rhapsody is gone from his channel (not sure if deleted or just privated) and his "I'm done with YouTube" post is nowhere to be seen in the Community tab (probably, couldn't handle the wave of shit and accusations that it has created). Add to this that he usually released trailers for his documentaries long before they were finished.

It's not so inconceivable really, he just fell down the conspiracy slope and ended up believing everything fringe is a redpill. It happens often enough online, but he has an entire community of insane people feeding him information and that's how he interfaces with the world so it's accelerated.

Basically you get into a zone where you distrust all authority and all mainstream information. Fair enough. But then you find enlightenment in anything that counters mainstream information and that's a universe of truly insane horse shit. Moon Landing Hoax theories are pretty tame, there's reasonable people who believe that. But once you enter the "that was a lie, what else could be?" mindset you can run to the margins like Owen where now the Earth is flat and dinosaurs never existed and drinking turpentine makes you less gay and whatever else.

I mentioned it up above but I truly think the depth of the problem is due to a person or people in his inner circle sending him articles or messing with his mind.

Maybe in the beginning, but now Owen’s brain is broken. I occasionally browse his stream archives on YouTube and in a video from a week ago (Stream 760), he was taking a clip from a tv show as evidence that nuclear weapons are fake.

That is not manipulation. That is 100% genuine crazy.

Which is why I find Owen’s journey fascinating. I’m watching the breakdown of a person’s understanding of reality in real time. And I have no idea what’s going to happen next.
 
When you think nukes are fake, you have lost it. I feel bad for the kids. They seem so cute and unbothered now but God knows when they grow up and meet normal kids(or adults), they are gonna freak and Owen will disown them. Amy is gonna see stars too.

My guess is that one of them will remain loyal to the cult, while at least one will leave similar to that Phelps girl from Westboro.

Amy’s submissive to Owen. She’s fine with playing housewife and probably keeps Owen’s insanity confined to the home. What I don’t know is if she sincerely believes in Owen’s shit or if she goes along with it out of fear that he’ll hurt her.

Then again, they could all end up dead. Owen’s stated that he doesn’t believe the coronavirus is real (and thinks that it makes you bleed out your eyes and anus).

it seems like he got rewarded for telling everyone what he really thinks about controversial issues, and that coincided with an emerging or worsening mental disorder exasperated by internet attention. He has concluded that he is a genius who figures out the correct take on an issue with minimal research, and started looking into other "controversies" with his spare time to try and replicate the success of the first grift. If I had to guess what is wrong with him mentally I would say bipolar, although schizophrenia isn't off the table and can creep up slowly. Taking turpentine and pissing off his wife by burning books are both troubling developments, even from a hardcore conspiracy theorist.

That's why he's such a good addition to the forum, and the only reason I can think of as to why the thread isn't bigger is that nobody wants to actually watch his streams.
