Oh no, my Oshi! I like watching his videos as background noise. The super cold/deep snow camping ones are the best.
He's said in the past that his intentions with starting the channel was an excuse to spend more time with his family/kids and it had ironically become the opposite of that as his kids had to go to school and it became increasingly large and he made commitments to his audience to put out videos on a schedule. I can't say I'm surprised at all that he's stepping back. Godspeed, Luke.

His content was great and I'm glad he realized when to hang it up instead of forcing himself to make content before he became unhappy. He's gonna' focus on his family and I can't fault him for it.

Godspeed Luke you magnificent bastard
It's rare to find such unapologetically wholesome content (though I admit I prefer his solo outings, the hint of danger is much more entertaining than the family trips)
Yeah I much prefer his solo outings. I believe last time I watched his content he was complaining about how uncomfortable it was going out like that as he gets older so this isn't a surprise to me.

This guy is an absolute beast of a man. Bro will walk 12 miles in a blizzard and then build a fucking igloo by himself; then sit there smile and grill a fucking steak. Too much man for what this world as become; he had to go eventually.
A man who just loves his honey butter bread and family is a man I can trust my life with

his videos that feature his family are unwatchable. good for him, i bet he has his finances sorted.

I feel like the writing was on the wall for a while. He wasn't posting as much as he used to. I get the feeling, also, that something happened security-wise with him. Maybe they had some faggy "stream-sniper" type losers harass him while he was recording one of his travel vlog-style videos with his family.
they are called redditors

QRD for those who haven't been paying attention:

So basically the channel "Outdoor Boys" was publicly exposed as a front for trafficking drugs across the Canadian border. Crazy, I know.

The Cartels figured the easiest way to get you your cocaine and benzos was using hiking mules; who then legitimized themselves with a Youtube channel.

Everything was going great until this specific channel blew up, and now suddenly it's getting a lot of attention. A fan recognized this guy, came up for a photo, and saw him unloading bricks of cocaine. Naturally they had to kill the fan and bury his body in the Saskatchewan wilderness.

Now, normally that would be the end of it, but you see that fan wasn't a nobody, he was actually the son of Assemblyman Brad Crassweller, the same Brad Crassweller who sits on the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, and who happens to own 2/3 of all mining in the Province.

Brad, immediately sensing something was wrong, followed the GPS ping embedded in his son's ankle, uncovering a shoddily dug grave, and vowing revenge. Since that day, Brad has adopted the moniker "The Pale Blade" and has been living in the Saskatchewan woods, using his vast resources to hunt, trap, and killing every hiker he sees. He's killed dozens of innocents, but also enough cartel mules that the entire organization had to stop, and deploy a hunter-killer team.

How does this relate to the Outdoor Boys? Well now that he's not a mule anymore, he had to sign off his channel. However, he knows that the cartel knows that he knows too much. In other words, he's being hunted by both the Cartels and the Pale Blade. But now, the time for running has come to an end, and the Outdoor Boys aren't going down without a fight.

As you read this, 12 Cartel members, the 4 members of the Outdoor Boys, and The Pale Blade, are all hunting each other in the Saskatchewan wilderness. But little do they know, that all this blood and betrayal has awoken a more ancient threat...

The best youtube channel of all time. Luke is a magnificent influence on everyone he comes across and gives hope for mouth breathers everywhere. Lives his faith rather than talks about it.

Choosing his family's wellbeing and privacy over continuing a successful YT channel. We need more dads like him. Godspeed, Mr. Outdoors!

I like how 10 days after a appreciation thread get made here he quits youtube.

To be more serious this year we've lost both Demo Matt and Luke so they can focus on their families. Good choice by them all-around, I doubt they will ever regret it.

Binging his videos, never knew about him until the featured post.
The way he cuts his videos its basically 30 minutes of him eating and failing to hunt things, hehe. It's good tho, i'm enjoying most of them.

New videos up, comfy as hell.

I've seen a couple of gripers implying he's come crawling back when the money ran out, despite the goodbye video being pretty cut and dry. is there a way of checking if the comments were turned off when the video was published?

He did mention in his Goodbye video that he still had a few in the pipeline he would upload once they were edited.

The really interesting one is that he did a video for MyLifeOutdoors, because Steven (the guy behind that channel) has had to step back to take care of his wife, who has cancer. So that was basically content gifted to Steven.
