I checked the forums, and I was honestly surprised there is no proper discussion thread for OSRS!

Obligatory thread for showing off your skills, drops, autistic shit you come across, and bitching about Jagex not banning whatever scammer/botter is doing something scummy this week.

It's on Steam now and Runelite makes it a nearly modern experience so you really don't have an excuse to not give yourself Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Spotted near Sand Crab caves last week, amazed the lad hasn't been banned yet

Its super SOUL but like most mmos it's grindy as all hell and not very fun.
I enjoy it because the grind can be relaxing when you AFK. I'll be doing work, reading, or whatever on the side and I just need to click a couple times when I get a notification that I'm inactive.

I'm still fascinated by the black market that Runescape/OSRS still has. It's still rife with scammers, cheaters, botters; pretty much everything that you had back in the day. The big addition since then has been the gigantic influx of Spanish-speaking players who are all from Venezuela who sell gold to feed their families because they can make more money doing that than they can from almost any other profession there. I looked up the anti-cheat team lead on Twitter and it looks like, on average, they remove about $33,000,000 worth of gold from the game due to botting and real-world trading every year.

I like jumping in, setting a goal and then stopping for a few months. Fire cape 2 years ago, 99 magic last year, barrows glove this year. I dont know how people play it constantly for years at a time. I stopped playing after doing my first raid a few months ago, it was so intense and difficult, I feel bad for the guys that carried my ass.

I do really enjoy Settled and J1mmy on youtube though. They both have great series that have kept me invested in the game between play sessions.

I do think the game is on the clock though. The venezuelan bot farming is getting out of control, and that sand arena is just asking to get shut down. The only reason I can see them not doing anything about the bots is because of the inflated sub numbers, kind of like Twitter.

My tolerance for questing is low, but I can grind myself up levels for days. I think I had 93 range when I did it at that point.

I played the hell out of RS as a kid, but my main account is stuck in Runescape 3 and I don't really have any intention of playing that.

Since it got released on Steam I worked toward getting all 20 achievements since they're pretty easy (The hardest one is completing Dragon Slayer). I'm happy with putting the game away for now, but once a year I find myself getting the urge to play again.

Also, using ancient magic in Castle Wars is turbo gay.

Ngl a Kiwi raid team would be based

I play RS3 off and on. Last year, I maxed my RS3 ironman account and then started playing OSRS. After having played RS3 for so long, OSRS started pissing me off because run energy doesn't regenerate fast enough. I haven't played it in months but I think when I last played, I was at the Pollnivneach rooftop agility course. When I eventually come back to it, I'm certain I'll be grinding agility to 99 just to get it over with.

Playing with an Ultimate Ironman account freshen ups the experience. Worth it.

It also makes it easier to quit the game as you need to commit to a membership to play.

Trying to finish my goal of getting a quest cape. After that I might try some raids. Anyone have any suggestions? Also I badly need more money because training Construction is an expensive past-time.

CoX is the one that I did. I found a CC that was willing to take me through as a learner. If you are working on quest cape your stats should be good enough for it.

This is the probably outdated gear progression I used. I dont know what a current one would be.

Money wise I have no clue nowadays, slayer was making me tons of passive gold through drops and alchs. I was also flipping constantly and made a nice bank by taking advantage of falling rapier prices months ago.

I used to use this Site as I was building my bank and levelling magic, I would just sit at the GE and spam my high alch with mouse keys as I watched TV.
