I would just like to point out that I had to log in just so I could learn that Eli whacked it.
This is when you have to ask yourself the hard (ha, ha) questions.
 
If Jace hasn't completely given up on Eli, they might be using Twitter's PM system to communicate. Or maybe Jace calls him every once in a while, in which case I want to see his phone bill.
 
So is Eli going to hurry up and tweet that he was able to take a shit or what because I'm starting to get worried about him. He better let us know if everything comes out alright.

How do you know his jerking off tweet wasn't from some Hamas or IDF member who found/made Eli's corpse pranking him one last time?

It's actual SOP for soldiers not to carry their personal cellphones in a combat zone. For several reasons: It's a risk to mission security because they can be easily tracked or go off suddenly when silence is essential, they can interfere with other electronics used on the mission, If they're captured by the opposition they have your & your family's personal information in them, and finally- If you get captured- It's bad enough you get tortured to death, but it's even worse if some bastard puts a video of it on your Mom's Facebook page.

If an actual combatant had found Eli's phone after killing him, we'd have something a lot worse than a tweet about him jerking off.
