We should have a separate board only visible to Phil and approved posters solely to fuck with him. The board would contain things that would be guaranteed to make him sperg out. A sock could give him a "pre-approved account" to spy on the forum.
I second this. You open this one back up and he'll be reading to see everyone plotting to feed his Kiwi fetish.

Make a fake forum with some filtered content, give him something to chimp about, but we continue to monitor him in the main forum he can't see.

I believe we had talked about alternating the access when we made the forum private.

I suggest you only make the forum public for a couple of months, then make it private again. Be as unpredictable as he is.

I say open it for a week then close it again.

I was thinking the exact same thing. One week of open viewing would have the result of making him go apeshit, while also giving users here an ability to see what the fuss is all about if they haven't applied for access.

This is probably the funniest plan, we could even occasionally plan fake posts to put in the public board on the "real" board - but that's probably considerably more work.

I have an idea I'm putting to a vote.

People have complained Phil is boring so I'm tempted to open the board up again. Once his behavior normalizes and he becomes fixated on the site, we take it away again.

Discuss.

I like the idea of randomly opening it and featuring a thread from it, and then closing it again very soon afterwards. It could be a couple hours to a couple days, or just the instant he posts something from it. Then put it on a random timer for unlocking again.

I'm kind of torn on this, but leaning towards "no".

On one hand I'm okay with his slow burn-out, he's definitely feeling the lack of attention and it's driving him bonkers. Plus I'm perfectly fine waiting a while for the inevitable crash. To me half the enjoyment is the waiting. The chimp-out is coming, we just need patience.

On the other hand I know other people like to see our cows be a bit more animated and there is something enjoyable about watching him scramble to make up lies as we destroy them one by one. But at the same time it does get asspatters to give him money and make him seem like he's a legitimate "victim". Personally, I don't really like the idea of him getting any help from anybody after the shit he's pulled, but I also realize I might be not seeing this clearly and there are more laughs to be gained by making this public. At least for a little while.

Kinda OT: Knowing Phil, he'd declare victory over us because the forum would be public again.

Don't give him any excuses for another pity-party. Be patient, he will explode one way or another.

I like the idea of randomly turning it on and off after short periods of time so that he'll never know when he's going to be locked out again, so he'll obsessively be glued to the site until it's locked again.

I'd like to see this board opened again, but I also think Phil is already on a downwards spiral, and that we should hold off for another few months to see just how far he can be pushed by a total lack of outside stimulation. If the forum returns, so will old Phil... but we've seen old Phil. We've seen the posturing, we've seen the lies, we've seen the autistic jabbering. It's not going to become anymore interesting the second time around.

Deprived of attention, Phil actually has to think. He has to confront himself every day, he has to actively construct new narratives to justify his condition. We're a crutch, a life-support mechanism. I'm in favor of keeping him dangling. For now.

I also like this idea, especially if only a few threads are visible and not the whole forum. If it's possible to just feature a thread rather than opening the forum (and I think it is by temporarily changing the visibility for just that thread), then even better.

I strongly vote no. His content is less frequent but also going to all sorts of extremes. He used his threads to find the most a-log posts in order to prove how downtrodden and marginalized he was. He uses the same arguments now but with no proof he has any haters and it's driving his few asspatter away. Before we were the bogeyman he could point at to prove he was abused, now he's a grown man hiding under the covers and pointing at an empty closet saying the monsters are real (but only he can see them).
he is looking crazier by the day and it's great.

If anything, maybe just feature his "don't help isabel araujo" that is open to the public anyways but is slightly hidden in the ratking forum.

I'm not a regular in this section, but wouldn't it be shooting ourselves in the foot to give him attention now, right when it all seems to be finally drying up? Isn't this exactly what we've been waiting for, to see how he reacts to having all his strings cut? Whether he'll find a new community and identity to parasitize, go crawling back to his parents, become a for-real hobo, or just live exiled to the couch in his own apartment as long as his tugboat stays afloat?
That latest "screaming into the void" post, to me, was an indication that we're on exactly the right track already. I vote no.
