I said I think the rotting is due to vitamin b deficiency, and vitamin b absorption is severely limited with high alcohol consumption and does cause wounds to persist in alcoholics in exactly the same way Blade's leg holes do. If he says he has diabetes, then fine (also didn't suggest not treating diagnosed diabetes).
