Well that's a fucking bummer. At least this way Blade does get some medical help, he would never go to the doctor voluntarily.

Here's a long version of the sniper helping Blade cross the street. He falls twice, pees in the middle of the street, and sexually harasses a lady. The second fall is basically the sniper tackling him so he doesn't drive into traffic. "Sex now!" "You gotta lift your hoof, dood!" What a mess.

A little earlier he's casually driving on the road again when the streaming phone falls and he almost runs it over.

The hotel room door gets more abuse, this time going the other way.

The sniper pours Blade a fat triple as a night cap. Ok, it's probably 50/50 Jager and Red Bull, but still...

Security shows up in the form of PPP and blackface Andy Warski.

Finally, a couple clips from yesterday.
Blade's a healthy guy! I don't know what everyone's on about.

Geezer wants Blade to move in with him. At least it's a safer place to live than a seedy hotel... wait...

EMS knows it looks bad, and they see a lot of middle-aged alcoholics to know what they're talking about, but as first responders they don't have the labwork the hospital will, and the nature of EMS means they don't see patients all the way through their treatment.
Powerlevel, but ER Tech / former EMS from the hood here:

Judging by his vitals, current state, and protocol EMS likely called it in to the ER as sepsis. Now, granted, the lab work may come back negative for it, but he’ll be treated as if he has it regardless in the meantime.

Honestly, in my opinion, I would bet on sepsis. His foot alone is an enormous red flag, and that’s not even considering his habits and living conditions... plus he’s running around the streets of Las Vegas which I’m sure are a breeding ground for all kinds of wonderful diseases. Catching sepsis on a wound like that is easy, especially if you’re already a retarded alcoholic pissing and shitting in your own bed.

Will it get chopped off? Nigga I got no idea that’s way above my pay grade. Would I chop that shit if I was a doctor? Nigga absolutely he would have been peg legging it years ago if I was in charge.

(I don't know if there's any specific wrinkle to Nevada.)
There isn't. NRS 41A.120 covers this, stating "consent to a medical or surgical procedure is implied if both of these are true:
  1. "In competent medical judgment, the procedure is reasonably necessary, and any delay could reasonably be expected to result in death, disfigurement, impairment of faculties, or serious bodily harm.
  2. "A person authorized to consent is not readily available."
The only post-procedure hoops are demanded by the state regulatory board. NAC 630.227 provides that "in an emergency where the patient or representative is not available or able to consent, the clinician:
  • "may start care before consent,
  • "must try to get consent at the earliest opportunity, and
  • "must get informed consent before ongoing treatment once the emergency has ended."
If the ER can't rouse him, can't find mom and the leg looks bad enough, it's coming off.

Write (and file) a living will (advance directive), folks. You never want to be stuck in this situation hoping some random overworked doctor at an overcrowded tourist-town hospital can "guess what you want" correctly.

What exactly did Andy Warski do to catch so much shit from Blade's chat? lmao.
It's because Kino Casino had a segment on their most recent show going over Blade's adventures on sunday.

I was really skeptical about this Vegas arc especially after those first 2 nights that were horrible but man we've gotten like 3 or 4 solid legendary streams. I don't think Blade can handle living in Vegas altho maybe he will learn to dial it back a bit after tonight? Would love if he stays in Vegas but it's going to really speed up his death

Ay lmao and of all places in downtown Vegas. Nigga, this doctor’s got a drunk and septic fat rapist on his hands. That poor fucking doctor, man.

No doubt, he fits the initial sepsis criteria to a T and that's where the workup is going to start.

I just think it's premature for us to assume this is definitely septic shock and he's gonna die, based on initial assessment relayed via the desk clerk. Baseline he's semi-conscious and looks terrible; he might just be antibiotics and a fluid bolus away from being awake to hear the surgeon tell him it's leg day.

I swear they should put people in some kind of Leg Parenting class for a couple weeks, and if they fail it, they just get a BKA. He neglected his toe to the point he needed transmetatarsal amputation, then dragged that through the street... Shoulda cut it back to where the circulation was good and it could heal.

Gosh, it must be especially depressing to be EMS in Las Vegas of all places. (:_(

With his sepsis and the increased likelihood of amputation what are the chances they can get him healthy enough to go under the knife? Right now I assume the risk he dies on the table is so high that surgery won't touch him. Bit of a catch-22, he needs source of the infection surgically removed but both high dose vancomycin and anesthesia are likely to kill him out right.
