OnlyFans is getting out of the pornography business.

The company will prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit conduct, starting in October. Creators will still be allowed to post nude photos and videos, provided they're consistent with OnlyFans' policy, the company said Thursday.

The changes are needed because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers, according to the company.

Haven’t seen this posted yet: the BBC are taking credit for this change in Onlyfans rules. Apparently they were giving people multiple warnings for illegal content instead of taking it down right away, letting blatant prostitution run freely and being more lenient towards big earners.

Also some poor sod at the BBC had to watch shit-eating and homeless sex in the name of jurnulizm.

So what exactly is the game plan for OnlyFans as I recall a majority of their stuff is porn... Are they planning to introduce something family friendly??

Well, prostitution is legal in most places outside America, wouldn't be shocked if many women start in porn to help their hooking business.

While thots being patrolled is humorous, this is bad news to me overall. Payment processors are continuing their authoritarian streak. The same payment processors that continue to fuck Null over. I'd rather they had zero power like this. Even if it fuels degeneracy. And no, I don't think banning porn monetization with legislature is a good idea either. That would require fucking up the current internet laws and would probably lead to a slippery-slope banning sites like KF and 4chan along with it.

The problem with legislation is that it's almost never done with the best interests of everyone in mind. SESTA-FOSTA is a good example, it makes it easy to paint it as a good thing to the public and can make it a good thing to demonize to opposition, passing at 98% of the Senate should set off alarm bells. Even city and state elections where a measure passes by that high a margin is extremely rare, and has to be something where tax dollars aren't being spent, nobody's rights are restricted, and there are no obvious drawbacks. (One example of that was a Texas Proposition in 2019 that allowed police dogs and horses to retire with their handlers instead of being euthanized or sold, passing with a solid 94% of the vote...which still is less than SESTA-FOSTA)

In the case of government legislation, even that is a crapshoot as activist judges can pick and choose which parts apply and which parts don't.

We have an established containment for this kinda thing. The titty bar. All the desperate weirdos in one spot with one guy in charge and sheriffs deputies keeping tabs on it. It isn't a perfect system but it's a lot better than the freewheeling internet amateur porn jurisdictional nightmare Onlyfans is.

You ignore the fact that not all towns have strip clubs, red light districts, adult book stores, or thriving sex worker scene (let alone one for LGB types).

Part of the reason internet porn is a huge thing culturally, is that it eliminates the boundaries that normally has kept people from accessing it. To make a reference to a long standing theory that has floated about over the issue of why serial/sex killers are no longer a huge thing in America, a lot of sex murders are the direct result of sexually frustrated men who kill because they have no real access to healthy, non-violent means to vent their sexual frustration. And that the advent of internet porn meant that generations of potential sex killers/serial killers could just watch stuff on their computer to get their fix and not have to go out and stalk/kill people.

Onlyfans has it's flaws yes, but the whole neo-feudal anti-porn rhetoric ignores the fact that it does serve a societal role for venting sexual energy in a non-destructive manner. Hell, the entire incel movement can be seen as a textbook example of this case, as you have murderous men who have been convinced that sex with real life women is the only sex that count and any sexual release not with a flesh and blood person to be beneath them.

Can't have the goyim making their own porn without giving the tribe a big fat slice.

Maybe this will wake up the coomers from their stupor and they'll realise how much bullshit power payment processors hold.

This is the only reason I'd be against this. It's probably just because the porn studios are losing so much money, which is good. But at the same, these porn bans may make it harder to come across porn, which is better.

When it happens to Kiwi Farms and sites like it, the Twittards are all for payment processors using their business to push their personal agendas. But the moment they go after the coomers, the salt mines are open and all hell breaks loose. They enabled a monster, and now it's trampling on their own buildings. Don't complain, you wanted this.

They actually thought it couldn't possibly affect them. Just mean on the internet bullies like KF. The poor POC tranny sex worker (hate that term you hos), is just trying to keep the lights on. No one will hire "her" because she's trans. Her family won't help because she turned her penis into an awl wound and called grandma a transphobe on Thanksgiving.

So sad.

How the hell did OnlyFans become so dominant anyway?
It's not like camwhore sites were a particularly new/innovative thing.

Onlyfans spent a LOt of money for an aggressive marketing push online and via influencers and had helpers in the media shill it (see Beyonce writing a song which had several lines randomly shilling Onlyfans and the number of Onlyfans success stories that popped up after the lockdowns started).

I'm in a couple lefty circles online. Naturally, the only thing being talked about is the fact another avenue of NSFW stuff has closed up, and they're dismissing the sex trafficking angle as being a mere excuse.

I wish I were surprised.

I'm seeing the same discussions. They absolutely give no motherfucks about child porn. Think of the pwooooooor sex workers. If some kids have to be raped or sexually exploited and maybe even sold into slavery, well that's just the price they're willing to pay. I do honestly find it shocking. Like, OnlyFans CHOSE not to verify ID/moderate their site better to stay on the side of the law. Somehow they're not the bad guys, the people pointing out the law-breaking are.

Incidentally, Tumblr got way less crazy when they banned porn. Maybe they're not making any money (like I care?) but I can read fandom content now without wanting to strangle everyone.

I hate it too. They willingly chose to be whores. They shouldn't be treated like an equal.

There's a reason that meme of "I don't know who's Jewing who anymore" keeps popping up...
Different groups of jews hate each other almost as much as they do the goyim.
