OnlyFans stops allowing sexually explicit content

OnlyFans is getting out of the pornography business.

The company will prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit conduct, starting in October. Creators will still be allowed to post nude photos and videos, provided they're consistent with OnlyFans' policy, the company said Thursday.

The changes are needed because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers, according to the company.

I don't really care one way or another if OF bans porn stuff since I don't use it (it encourages parasocial relationships, which are cancer with or without porn) but my thought is this: what comes to the average person's mind when you say "I have an OnlyFans page?"

My guess is probably "oh, they do porn." How is OF going to "mend" or "course correct" that reputation?

Basically, I think they're shooting themselves in the foot to a degree. It'll be interesting to see if they fizzle out to a shell of their former selves, like tumblr did.

Any time only fans is brought up in normie conversation it's to talk about skanks. The brand name is tied to porn, I'm not so sure all publicity is good publicity in this case.

This is why we need a government version of electronic payment. Could you imagine if the mints that print paper money refused to supply money to any buisness that they don't agree with?
 
A number of sites ban porn. Patreon does. Porn causes problems. No payment processor wants to run the risk of illegal stuff. I know that onlyfans and chaturbate go to great lengths to keep the kids out of the picture, but a single nine year old who slips through the cracks could bring everything down for them.

I never understood this site anyway. Why would I pay some guy $15 to see two faceless masturbation vids when I can find thousands of vids of twinks being debased for free? It makes even less sense with women. Front holes are so boring. Who is paying to see that? Closeted fagets trying to "stay straight"?

I was talking more in the context of the right target market, like normie being the occasional pornography consumer who heard about it from a more experienced coomer. As in, people who pay for pornography. As for decent church-going folk who don't pay for pornography, consider yourself lucky to be in that company. But they don't present a commercial interest in this context.

the issue is what NULL explaned the banks can kick you without word if they know its porn.
there was a Fair Access to Financial Services (OCC-2020-0042-0001) which would of made banks more liable for taking down people income but scrubed because MY GUN CONTROL & Choke point intive.
The seconday boss is take Child Prottection group to supreme court throw out their long arm child protection bill-FOSTA-SESTA .

We might actually see a few of the bigger players have financial issues. More than a few big names recently bought luxury homes and other end high stuff they just won't be able to afford or maintain with the gravy train gone.

On one hand, thots got patrolled hard. On the other, it's yet another example of a handful of payment processors having way too much power.

Incredibly high rate of chargebacks and fraud. Even more conventional one-way smut video providers are paying exorbitant fees to their payment processors, much higher than any other e-commerce companies, because it's considered a high-risk category.
