I knew people who did that but the widest range was 20 dating 17 about to turn 18. I still think it's weird and it wasn't common where I was from. I personally don't like dating someone more than 2 years younger than me. It's very common for women to date older men in college where they have an apartment you can fuck in and not some beat up car.

I was just thinking about it the other day, there definitely is a shift in culture that adults shouldn't date or minors. I wonder if that's because of the rise of the internet where sexting and edating is a lot more common.

Id agree. Grooming incidents occur constantly on high and low scales and its common enough that those who may be traumatised by such a thing, or those whove seen it or experienced it second hand, become more sensitive to it being a possibility. I think a lot of this new standard is a way for people to feel comfortable knowing there (((might))) not be any grooming going on if strict age gating for relationships and interactions are set.
The logic is: Anyone who ignores the standards is a groomer or doesnt care, and that pmuch makes them one too bc they’re probably capable

It's interesting that so many people that hate Oney are people that never made it in the industry...
