The reason why is that they are self hosting and don't have the space or money. The reason why they are self hosting is because they think Twitch is too toxic, which just means that they don't want to risk not having a hugbox.

Society has spent decades ensuring mental illness isn't addressed properly. If someone is antagonistic and narcissistic, and people treat them poorly in return, you aren't allowed to point out it's their own behavior that causes their social suffering because that's "victim blaming". If someone wants to chop their dick off and throw it in the ocean, you're not allowed to point out the obvious lifelong physical complications they'll be dealing with afterward because that's "being unsupportive." If someone is paranoid, you're not allowed to tell them they aren't the target of a secret assassin cabal, because "you don't know what they've been through."
