they're not roleplaying as shit, they're just punching random guys and then reloading, and whenever they actually get to a significant choice Oney just begs the other two who played the game to spoil everything for him

Yeah, that's pretty much my experience of trying to play RPGs with other people. What's your point?
 
I like to think that Chris's Oblivion dub is probably why he and Zach were invited to do voice lines in TES6, but it's probably just because Tomar mentioned them to the producers. Todd Howard on Slightly Artistic when?

It's easy to point at Chris and ask where his Adult Swim show is (and Bowlbo), but really he has done a lot. He has been a well-liked figure on the internet for decades at this point, which is something that even the likes of James Rolfe couldn't do. He has also created artistic works that are hardly creative thinkpiece apogees (Dragonzball Pee, etc.), yet have made a mark on internet culture and are remembered to this day. Furthermore, while he isn't the top bill in Smiling Friends he is responsible for a lot of its jokes and its iconic outro song.
I think he has a lot to be proud of even if he isn't competing with Pewdiepie for subscribers. Most artists could never dream of the kind of reach Chris's works have had, even if they are just memes and silly faces. All the while he can make enough money to somehow live in LA.

He's pretty much done what Egoraptor wanted to do with Game Grumps, so there is that. I don't think anybody really remembers GG aside from the JonTron era videos, meanwhile OneyPlays has been relevant for years.

And he did all of it by embracing the NG crowd and culture that Egoraptor saw as this mark of shame. It's extremely impressive that this group survived associating with Shadman and all the edgy humor to this day without having to even acknowledge it or do the apology song and dance yet still get where they are.
The sacred art of knowing not to overshare on the internet and shutting the fuck up about your personal life is long lost to time.

It's awesome that the reupload of the full holiday ham prank video has a jolly ten-inch Tomar on the bottom right corner watching gleefully along to get you all warm and fuzzy in your fat belly. He even rubs his hands to remind you of his jewishness.
 
Not seeing Kiwis talk about it much, but their “Peak” videos are pretty top-notch. Perfect combo of chaotic retardation, banter, and jank. Cory being incompetent and loud actually works with the goofy sound system of the game. Even modern-day Lyle is decent in it (playing something of the straight man).
 
Lyle’s “orange angry sperm” character’s body being abandoned in a crevasse in the snow biome like he was Green-boots (alongside the hard camera cut) had me chuckling and rubbing my tummy like Tomar. It was almost as funny as the desert tornado tossing Lyle into a cactus (and probably Cory into a rock somewhere).
 
I've been noticing a surgence of OneyPlays animated videos where the guys are drawn cute and/or as twinks and it makes me chuckle because these dudes are in their mid to late 30s and them being drawn as twinks is hilarious. Fangirls are something man
