This post might be rough, but I did a bit of sleuthing, and DD's mention of his old account during his rant (for whatever reason) dug up his internet presence in the late 2000's. You see someone mention in reply that "Wait, Delmore is DING DONG?" You search for delmore on the wiki for the MFGG forums, and it's been suspiciously wiped after 2019.
The current page there directs to other wiki pages, and shows he often participated in things such as Super Mario-themed pixel art competitions, forum culture, some trolling and even moderated on the "Mario Fan Game Galaxy" forums.

HOOOOOOOLY SHIT. I vaguely remember this Delmore guy from when I was tangentially involved in the Mario community years ago (mainly due to some friends at the time), he was a piece of work to be sure. If he is indeed DingDong, and the circumstantial evidence is pretty convincing, I'm both surprised and not surprised.

I think you overestimate a weird patriotic group's ability to separate themselves from that mentality. I would argue most Hollywood war movies from the past were made entirely to babysit some patriots for two to three hours.

EDIT: Fucking Pearl Harbour. I guarantee you, a lot of times when that film came out, inbred hicks were saying "yew don't wanna watch perrl hawbur? then yew dont liek americuh"
It was probably sound of freedom and chances are DD was only asked if he'd watched it a couple of times which he took as being forced to watch it.

I can't believe we were called stupid and told to go away.

Hey oneyfans here's my little yaoi dick pic

Pearl Harbor is literally Titanic but in WW2 era. It's just shitty tearjerker bait. It's like United 93, a similar movie about 9/11, but with its shitty tearjerker bait

Dong claiming that the whole community they voluntarily moved to hated them because he and Jules are faggots is such fake bullshit made up to fuel his never ending victim complex. I could buy that they got dirty looks from time to time for being faggots and holding hands/kissing and shit but even then, are you so fuckin fragile that some dirty looks are enough to send you into some spiral?

The whole idea that the whole community got together for movie nights and shit sounds like some leave it to beaver type shit that just would not happen outside of the smallest, most tight knit community, that not engaging in it would obviously make you an outsider no matter what part of the country you lived in. And again, they chose to live there. They weren't forced.

It just comes off as a combo of his need for perpetual victimhood and his very obvious disdain for anything even remotely close to southern/religious/conservative. How anyone could even potentially buy into this dudes shit at this point is beyond me.

Semi related wince it's Dong; had I think KH2 on in the background and he said something to the effect of "Elderscrolls and fallout take/have zero effort put into them compared to Kingdom Hearts" and I couldn't help but laugh. Yes DD, I'm sure more effort went into one shitty cutscene of Jack Sparrow than ever went into the ES or FO feanchises. The more I actually listen to what he says, and the more I see of his non Oneyplays shit, the less I like him. Jules is still the best of the two. Good on Jules.

This is what I tune into Oneyplays for, to be fair.
I'm beginning to realize it's also why I don't really tune into the channel often anymore. Because it's the same jokes over a different background that they don't interface with.

Of this year's Boneyplays, I liked... Mortuary Assistant? And sure, they didn't pay attention to it and their first little run got them killed for it, but that's funny. They were interacting with the spooks and what was going on, and the banter didn't feel like the main draw. What idle banter there was often gets interrupted by the game, and they don't just ignore it. So that's more than last year's, I guess.

Everything else just feels phoned in. Even Fear & Hunger, feels like Chris loses interest from the moment the dogs punish him for loafing around. Seeing another "clickbait streamer game aimed at children" title appear, probably just to be an easy ad revenue generator - I get it, I get why that's there, but man is it ever not for me.

I've started to fall out of love with the channel recently for similar reasons. At first I blamed Corey for it, but then watching the non-Corey episodes this Boneyplays I also found them uninteresting. They just seem so bored of it, the only good episode this Boneyplays was Slightly Artistic in my opinion, everything else was boring as shit. Zach was only in what, two videos both of which were of shitty games that weren't even funny bad? ANOTHER Playthrough of Resident Evil too, nothing this year seems all that memorable. In general I find myself watching the older stuff only, I don't think I've watched a single series from this year more than once, hell I haven't watched a single video from this year more than once probably.

People that enjoyed what they're watching.
Well then maybe that's the problem, if they're watching OneyPlays on repeat then it's no wonder they're tired of it. Maybe try watching something else for a few weeks, it's possible to have too much of a good thing. Or just watch something once and be done with it, keep moving forward, stop endlessly taking in the same comforting drudgery.

Well that was a weird one:

Wonder if they'll play the sequel at some point, since they enjoyed this one.

That sounds so fake. Name a single place outside of North Korea where people would care whether or not you attend a public movie showing. Sometimes paranoia makes you think people have motives they don't actually have.
It sounds plausible to me. It's not a 1:1 example but I can personally attest that having momentarily lived on a South-West reservation that there are communal movie nights and whatnot. Even in community college an outdoor theater would be set up just as a thing to do on occasions. I can only speak from my experience but being in a small community there's different expectations different from living in suburbs or urban.

But I'll give you credit on that DingDong could've misunderstood motives / intention for sure. If he's the odd one out being a gay dude in a small, conservative area, he'd be skeptical of just about anything and that'd only serve to go in a feedback loop of him not participating with the neighborhood and then the other locals look at him (and Julian) less favorably.

I've been feeling the same not being able to tune in as often. It doesn't help when they play a game I want to be spoiler free on, but there's a few fundamental things that obviously changed that just don't click for me.

I'd argue most people look for listening in on guys playing a game that's fun or meaningful for one of them at the very least mixed in with talking about life or amusing anecdotes. That was the strength of the DingDong and Julian era where they'd get full mileage out of almost every game and usually not run out of things to talk about. Nowadays it only feels like Tomar, and variably Corey / Chris are into the game to any extent and they drop so many. The only comparison needed is the channel's Pokemon Red vs Pokemon Silver. I'm bummed about Silver being dropped because Nintendo games are outright the easiest to make 20 hours of yuks and rage moments the whenever someone fails something easy.

Corey always feels like he wants to do some sort of critic show whenever it's a game he really wants to play but he doesn't have the verbosity to put his opinions into words. Of all things, he's best when he's strung into playing a group game he doesn't okay anything about.
