Lyle reacting to a chicken laying an egg in Resident Evil 4 with "Fresh from the ass! Crack it and chug!" has stuck with me for a few days and I fear it may be with me permanently.

The Elden Ring videos are pure gold:

I hope they play it through to the end.

Also enjoyed the Dredge video from a few days ago. It's another game I hope they keep playing.

Otto Heckel's channel is a goner due to "multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy on nudity or sexual content." Forgot to archive his stuff, goddamnit. He made such good compilations, I loved the Adam Paloian one.
Oh no, where are we gonna get his weird fucking stream of consciousness essays now

And uh the compilations

But seriously tho, what nudity and sexual content?

^Favorite part was Chris' reaction to the selection of playable characters.

Edit: Yesterday's video (haven't seen it posted yet).

I never got the Lyle hate (or the Tomar hate for that matter), I think he has some really funny moments and he's good at just "going with the flow so to speak." As for solo content I don't think Lyle does much alone except for his scripted content which is for the most part very good. I know he usually streams with friends when he does.

Are trying to tell me right now, in this very thread, that you don't regularly tune in for Tomar Tuesdays and Tomar Thursdays every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm PST at twitch.tv/tomamoto?

No stop it you have to moralize about which adults the internet funny men are sticking their dicks in NOW NOW NOW
There's Tomar hate? Who the fuck is hating on my man Tomar?
I need names and addresses.

kanye claimed that watching 21 jump street cured his antisemitism, but actually it was watching let's plays with doofy, earnest, talented-voice-actor tomar. i think some of the "straight man" stuff has to be schtick but he really does come off as so likeable. him getting flustered over zach's deranged hypotheticals is peak content.

anyway speaking of deranged, a certain BASADO BUN-BUN is playing yiik, and while i am enjoying it, it's also kind of making me nostalgic for the oney playthough. might be time for a rewatch

Might still be part of the onscreen persona, but if you watch his own streams, Tomar does seem to be just that way.

Which is why all the bits about him being evil are all the funnier.

Always a good day when they upload more Elden Ring:

What actually happened is Kanye met Tomar and Tomar told him "It's a good start, but you can't just hate a single group - you have to hate all people" and proceeded to outline his plan for the extermination of the human race. Seeing the utter darkness of Tomar's soul shocked Ye so much he had to turn a new leaf. He is rarely seen these days because he is in hiding, fearful of what Tomar would do to him if he opened up about it - thus the flimsy 21 Jump Street excuse.

This is apropos of nothing relevant to the thread, but do you remember that podcast Zach and Michael went to around the time Smiling Friends came out? The Create Unknown?

They put out a video earlier today, and I was surprised to see it's only got around 200 views. I don't know how their stats are in other platforms, or if other platforms are their main ones, but 200 views in 11 hours seems pretty low to me for a channel with almost 50k subscribers. Not that I have a good metric for what kind of views a channel of that size should get, but say, a Harmful Opinions video (his current channel has only 20k subcribers) got 7.5k views in 13 hours today, but ok, maybe it's not fair, his channel may be on the low now, but it's still Harmful Opinions, and as we know, he's GOD. But a video by an old man I follow who has 78k subs (more than the Create Unknown, but he's extremely niche, makes molds of little figures) got 2k views in 12 hours.
So those 200 views in 11 hours really seemed weird to me. And I took a look at the channel. Just the main episodes, not the shorter clips.

Most of their videos hover around the 500 views. On a lot of episodes they have guests, and some draw views, some don't. It's kind of weird and unpredictable, you'd think YourMovieSucks or James Rolfe would get them big views but no, just around 7k. Curiously, VoiceOverPete and MeatCanyon got them around 14k. Whang, SumitoMedia, ManyKudos, and many others, all under 5k views.

But Zach's many appearances in the show? From tens to hundreds of thousands of views. The Zach and Michael episode is almost 850k views. Only people like iDubbbz or that bald guy from Vsauce managed to get them past the 100k views, but Zach just blew past everything and everyone.

So I guess what I'm saying is, our boy Zach must be a much bigger draw than I'd ever imagined. I know, Smiling Friends hit it big at that time and that makes him notorious, but more of a draw than pre-cuckening iDubbbz? Amazing.

But also sad situation for the Create Unknown guys.

(Reply and Quote are unselectable, never seen this before and it's still available for ever other post including your previous one.)

Yeah, that was something I noticed too. Since they are VSauce guys who's main channels have millions of subs make it all the weirder. Still, it's probably good they are on the down-low because their guest selection is pretty varied.

I've watched a few of the non-Zach episodes with people I like such as Rusty Cage, but the fact they had EZPZ/OddGuy on who is not super notable to the wider internet is a testament to them being pretty interesting in their picks - especially since in his case he was so characteristically unfiltered they had to keep the full version off of YouTube to avoid probably getting nuked.
