There is games grumps-rot era tier stuff in the sense of like not unlocking waypoints when the button's literally telling them it's a fast travel waypoint but I got a suspicion they're like inebriated here or something because they go back like 19 minutes in and get it... and then they ignore and stumble by the one in the town for some reason. They didn't even finish the opening quest which is very odd due to like how long the episode is. I kinda wonder what their reaction would be when they got to the quest where there's just an autistic child that buried a pipe bomb in the woods and called it "treasure".

They weren't even that perverted and if you removed the minor perversion and complaining the episode would be 5 seconds long. None of them gave a single shit about what was happening and the footage should have just been thrown out because it was just a boring as fuck episode where nothing happens.

My drunk theory still stands. Also the ramblings were funny, I think that's mainly what people watch these for.

I only ever played Genshin when it came out and completed all the content that was available at the time and the story/characters were generic and pretty uninteresting so I don't think they would care much.
As they mentioned they found the map pretty and I imagine someone showing Chris how the elemental effects work and just letting him explore the different areas and mess around with different characters would lead to some kind of conversation that isn't boredom.
 
The Genshin episode wasn't good but based on some of the reactions to it you'd think Cory just complimented some of you guys' mother bearing hips and locked you in his dungeon.
It was just a boring episode that probably came about because they thought it'd be funny to play some normie-core "brainrot" game and take the piss out of it. Likely the same reason they played Roblox come to think of it. Problem was it just wasn't very entertaining, and considering how they all seemed pretty unimpressed with the game I don't expect many more episodes (if any).
 
If I never hear someone on this channel describe something as “charming” again, it’ll still be too soon.

Some of them probably going into it that it was gonna be like what people said about it online. video essays everywhere going "PREDATORY CHINA GAME FORCES GAMERS TO SPEND MONEY ON SKINS OR STATS!" shit but then the actual game is just a standard open world fantasy game deal with a character unlock gacha thing slapped on the side. You play the game for long enough of the opening to get how it works it becomes really obvious.

Overall I still think it was a fun video, but I also think genshin isn't a game suited to a lets play format of this type. you're gonna end up with hundreds of long ass episodes and the main story isn't even 100% finished yet 5 years on.

I actually agree with Chris. If you're protag options are twink or girl, then girl is preferred. If Chris Redfield 5'4 and 120lbs in Resident Evil 1, no one would pick him over Jill.

That's because they had Zach and that bit was the product of ignoring the game. Oneyplays excels at something Two Best Friends Play failed miserably at: They enjoy each others' company first and foremost, and everything else is an excuse to keep things moving along. If you just sit and wait for the dopamine to come to you, you end up becoming a boring or impatient person. This is also mainly why the Genshin video was a dud, they focused way too hard on a game that doesn't have much to offer in terms of entertainment. Contrast that to Fat Guy Simulator where the comedy writes itself so long as the players are halfway decent at ad libbing comedy, even Cory would be able to be funny if they had him on there for that one instead of Zach.
