I posted Matt's response video in the arin thread, I haven't seen it yet but it's 40 minutes long
I don't want to go over point by point but first half of the video addresses the Lex stuff. Says they take responsibility and apologizing for handling the situation poorly. Re-contextualized some things. Like how he talked to Don before he talked to Lex so at that point he only knew that they had broken up and was unaware of any sexual assault that happened. Also denies the Magnum Opus statement. As far as kicking Lex and Rav out he chalked up to be misconstrued and poor communication from both sides.

Second half of the video is basically address everything else where he exposes it as a coordinated effort lead by Leighton to get them cancelled. In this part he straight up denies a lot of the accusations. Definitely a lot more aggressive response then what he had to say about the Lex situation.

Watched Ryan's vid, it is much more condensed. Basically the same in regards to Lex. Addressed the sexting of fans while in a long term relationship, says it was very wrong of him and apologizes. Addresses the accusation of him and Matt making jokes about Daniel's suicide. He vehemently denies this and is pissed off that someone would even try to pull that on them.

Admitting that the Lex stuff is all real, just “poorly communicated”, isn’t great. Especially since it’s basically “okay yes it all happened, BUT here’s why it’s not really that bad.” People hate that.

Hardcore fans will probably eat it up though.

In regards to the "kicking them out" stuff. From Matt and Ryan's POV in regards to Rav and Lex living in the office they saw it as a work related thing and tried to handle the situation as such. Lex and Rav felt it was a more personal issue and were unhappy it was handled in a business sense. Matt also showed a text indicating that they were not evicted but left on their own and also that they were not prevented from retrieving their stuff. He brought up that while things were tense and uncomfortable between the parties after this had happened they eventually seemingly moved passed it down the line (matt posted more texts showing everyone being cool with each other) and was under the belief that the issues were resolved.

As someone who struggled trying to kill the Capra Demon and died multiple times trying to do so when I first played this game, watching them own it was so satisfying.

Have there been any standout series in the last half a year or so?
I haven't watched much in that time and would like some background noise for while I work and I figured I shouldn't just watch the Crash 2 playthrough for the 100th time.
Death Road to Canada & Skinwalker Hunt are great.

I believe Ryan feels way more remorse about this than Matt does based solely on the length of each video.

Also because Ryan mainly just accepted responsibility and admitted to the cheating, along with seemingly deciding to quit. Matt kept making excuses or downplayed certain aspects.

OneyPlays subreddit being gay isn't particularly surprising

I keep seeing SuperMega fans on twitter mention how they just drove out to see a Matt show or concert or something.
I cannot for the life of me imagine the type of person who is not only a superfan of SuperMega but would actually go to see Matt Watson perform what I'm assuming is extremely bland and awkward YouTuber hiphop in person for money.

Supermega originally started as sort of an offshoot of Game Grumps. Matt and Ryan were editors for them for three years. GG was hugely popular with the tumblr girl parasocial crowd. When they started their channel they got a large crossover of that overly attached mentally ill fan base. I think this is the reason why you see stuff like that

I get the sense he has a similar appeal as Bo Burnham, only to a younger crowd.

Same, this is my only thing to say about that situation, fuck super mega
David Byrne said it best, same as it ever was.

SuperMega sucked then, they suck now and they will continue to suck. Fuck them.

I only know SuperMega from the tiny Hitler clone and My Two Lovely Uncles:

Syria might not be a bad choice at this time.

Does anyone have an up-to-date archive of DingDong's streams? The one I found last reuploaded a stream a month ago, seems good - but doesn't have those other more recent streams yet.

I was going to make a joke about sending the info to Bowblax so everyone can hate on him again (like when he covered DingDong & GameGrumps) but turns out he already made the video. And then had to make another one as he jumped the gun, got called out by Matt of SuperMega, and everyone was hating on him. I enjoy that he constantly inserts himself and that nobody likes him.
