The Brazil Smiling Friends episode aired

Filtered retards everywhere upset and disappointed because they actually expected Brazil adventures

New Smiling Friends ep feels like them basically doing a Family Guy style "get in situation and just talk about it for a while without any real jokes" bit but actually vaguely amusing. Family Guy and the like always feel like they need to escalate it to yelling and acting ridiculous and usually literal fighting, but every time this started to get close to that they ended up calming down and working it out. I liked it well enough and it'll make people mad which is funny enough, though not sure I'll be super excited to rewatch it. Really impressive backgrounds, too.

It was 10 straight minutes of pure discomfort as they went through every stage of grief, occasionally being interrupted by some mundane distraction. I'm not sure I would even call it funny except on a meta level, where it's hilarious anti-humor. Also, they didn't even pay for their fries.

Zach And Michel are sticking to that idea of wanting everything to feel like they are cartoon characters in the real world. Zach used the idea of "Ya they are cartoon characters but if you dropped a hammer on Charlie's head he would die". Like Privilege said, If this happened in family guy it would have devolved into some fight, but the situations deescalated themselves like in a real situation that friends in that situation would have. The dialog felt very natural, and if it was partially improvised I wouldn't be surprised but if it wasn't that makes it all the more impressive. I didn't laugh as much as I thought it was interesting, the episode itself and that they spent probable months animating a shitpost on cable. Very Meta episode and I think i'll find the people seething about this episode a lot more funny than the actual episode.

Just watched the Brazil episode and I thought it was a pretty funny joke episode honestly. I do actually just find Zach's voice amusing on its own, so even just hearing him talk about nothing interesting is fine enough for me. Loved all the freaky-ass background characters in the first part of it, and that not-quite-mugging bit was good too.

It was a worst-case scenario of trying to go for a vacation, but it was fine for a filler episode. I hope the plane that comes down at the end was a foreshadowing that the whole second season takes place in the two-weeks "holiday" and was the last possiblity to bail out.

I just think it's funny how hyped the filler episode was and how mad people got lmao
