Oda didn't say OP would end in 5 years, he said the treasure would be found in 5 years. We still have the worldwide Final War arc to follow that, and god only knows how long that will span.
Plus there's no way the higher ups at Shueisha will even allow OP to end in 5 years. MHA is in it's final arc already, KnY ended last year, and Black Clover is mediocre. OP is pretty much carrying the magazine at this point.

Luffy and Zoro are really putting out endgame energy.
It's endgame energy if you consider the currently power scaling. Before it was the shichibukai, then the admirals, then WB, then the yonkou, and then primebeard/Roger/Oden. Plus the OP world's balance of power is shifting; all members of the worstgen have extreme amounts of potential compared to the previous gen. Plus, going by OP logic Luffy and Zoro won't hit their prime until their 40s. But I also want to mention that Kaido almost makes no effort to dodge. His fighting style revolves around tanking hits and then countering. A scar to him is a superficial wound. Then we also have to consider the possibility that Kaido himself is not as durable as he once was. Either or I hope it doesn't end up turning into planet busting bullshit like Naruto did.

I don't think it'll turn into naruto bullshit. As far we can expect Blackbeard isn't mighty omega so it should be a epic fight just not in a bad way. and if anything Im might only be just a bit stronger than PB,GR and Oden. Or at least enough for luffy to struggle then overcome

There will be spin-offs and one-offs out the ass for sure, but Oda wants to end the main series. He has been doing it most of his life and the manga-ka lifestyle is not something most artists want to live through for more than a single decade, and in 5-ish years Oda will be pushing on 3. Even if they try and get him to stay he can just take his millions of dollars and retire anyway.

It's getting pretty similar to flashback Roger and Whitebeard. Unless the not yet revealed admiral has the super saiyan fruit for BB to steal it shouldn't be getting much bigger than it already is.

Presuming they win (and why wouldn't they) The Strawhats have 3/4 of the Road Glyphs, and took down a Yonkou.

All that is left is to run into Buggy to get the location of the last Road Glyph, Run into Shanks and the massive clusterfuck that will be the final Rush for Raftel.

Oden was a threat to Kaido, and both Roger and Whitebeard were well above Oden in strength. There's probably still a way to go in terms of power level.

Fuck power levels, though. I just want to see Garp fight for real before the end.

I expect the Blackbeard fight would be more about trickery and strategy instead of brute strenght which is what this Kaido fight is about.

Blackbeard takes more damage from attacks that hit him plus they’re also drawn to him because of the Yami Yami no Mi, so this seems likely. He’s meant to represent what actual real world pirates were, who relied on deception and underhanded tactics to get what they wanted. BB’s entire gambit to become a shichibukai, sneak into ID to gain a powerful crew, and kill WB are all examples; he didn’t plan the marineford war but knew he couldn’t kill WB unless he was severely weakened first so he took the opportunity to do so by showing up when he was worn down enough. Even then he still needed his crew to pull off the killing blow.

BB has cowardly tendencies but he’s also exceptionally lucky and probably doesn’t give a fuck about raw strength as long as his goals are achieved. I’m not sure what his skills with haki are like but im willing to bet his entire methodology for gaining strength is based around accumulating as many broken DF powers as possible, which would contrast nicely with Luffy using hard work and experience through mastering haki and making the most out of an otherwise mundane power. I wouldn’t be surprised if BB hasn’t awakened the yami yami no mi yet.

Reminder that Blackbeard's raw strength and endurance is fucking insane.

-He gave Shanks his scar with only a claw weapon
--Blackbeard had no DF powers
--This was a straight fight with no sneak attacks. The Vivre Card databook says Shanks was only caught off-guard by how strong Teech was. Ace's Story says the fight happened in the East Blue, and the Whitebeard Pirates had no idea it was one of them.

-He fucked up Ace with nothing but raw strength and his fists.
--He only had the power to absorb powers and other shit, and also had his damage handicap as you mentioned, the presence of which did not prevent him from being the only one standing and winded while Ace was exhausted towards the end of the fight.

-He tanked several quakes from Whitebeard. He may have been shitting himself (in the anime, at least) but he was still able to move quick enough to initiate a counterattack and then recover to fight Sengoku later.
--The only other person we've seen do this is Akainu, who not only does not have the damage thing BB does, but is flat out said by Oda to be so strong, he could find the One Piece within a year.

-He's also not just lucky, he's fucking smart
--One of his SBS-stated hobbies: archaeology
--His planning has enough leeway (and your aformentioned luck) that he could pivot whenever trouble affected it ----the Dark-Dark Fruit search, killing Luffy for the Warlord position and apprehending Ace instead, sending Jesus Burgess to get the Flame-Flame Fruit and ending up with Baltigo's location, etc)

And tricking Moria before he even stepped foot on Hachinosu

My interpretation of this is that they find the OP after 5 years not that the series will end then. There's likely an arc after they find it which will be the final one sans any epilogue.

Maybe a duel between Luffy, Law and Kid to be true pirate king. Or Ims-sama will be the last arc.
