I find it funny how Wanda and Carrot are so trash Perospero didn't even bother to kill them. But then again only being able to fight seriously once a month is pretty embarrassing so maybe he just felt sorry for them.
And as far as power scaling goes I sure wasn't expecting Marco to be able to fight King and Queen together. Guess the difference between Marco and King is the same as WB and Kaido.

Also, hot damn no break next week either. I wonder if Oda will finally cut back to the roof to see Luffy and Co utterly destroyed or if he's going to wait until after a few crew members get a fight.

I hate whenever extremely powerful characters get KO'd offscreen by some absolute trash fighter like Perospero. The notion that the super beast form minks couldn't immediately take down Pero and his goons is ridiculous. Same goes for Kanjuro getting off-screened, although the Scabbards aren't trash.

Disagree. Perospero was pretty high on Big Mom's crew's pecking order.

You can be a higher up without being an extraordinary fighter, and I can't see Peros being that good given that the only time we see him do any fighting was when he put up those giant candy walls and sneakily suffocating Brook* and Chopper with candy. He can certainly disable fighters, but having the capacity to defeat multiple Sulong minks? I'd really like to see how he does it instead of just cutting to the aftermath of the fight.

*Although he can't breathe.

1006

I liked Marco being able to take on King and Queen, or at least stall them. Being Whitebeard's first mate means he has to be in the billion bounty himself unless all his stats were in healing because of the phoenix fruit. Right now it would seem the ripe moment for Jinbei to help out Marco.

Maybe Perospero held them off just long enough for them to be tired out from the transformation.

*sigh*

I just want more Big Mom lore. The return of O-Lin, a child of hers that isn’t Perospero (who’s been gone for two or three months real world time and of course, everything he’s been doing is offscreen).

Big Mom being around has been a nothing burger.

I think the clouds Kaido made to lift Wano Obscured the Moon, he does say "The weather wasn't in your favor."

Edit : Next week I think we might get one of the best scenes in Animated form.

Today we have three birthdays! Isn't that SUPER?

First up, we have Franky!

Second is my favorite of the Four Emperors, Shanks!

Finally, we have Dracule Mihawk!

Quick question; have they found out the big "shocking truth" about the Void Century or given any major clue to what the One Piece is? I've fallen a bit behind on One Piece and was wondering if those two plotlines have had any advancement since I last picked up volumes of the series....

The One Piece is probably going to be contain all three of the following:
1. An actual giant treasure horde. Roger was still a pirate, no reason he wouldn’t have had normal treasure.
2. A library or a poneglyph detailing what happened during the Void Century and the WG’s establishment
3. A powerful weapon or weapons that will be used in the final battle with the World Government

We just had a flashback that the anime is about to hit the big episode of that showed Rodger actually arriving at Raftel and at Minimum it has the History of the Void Century and the story of Joy boy.

You may want to wait a couple of years, at most 5, probably. That stuff seems to be ending material. Especially since both the One Piece and the Void Century may be linked.

The Void Century and the implications of it are why I gave One Piece a chance after initially dismissing it in the early 00s. There is something Blakes 7-esque about the Void Century plotline that I have been waiting ages to get paid off, since the battle between the Straw Hats and the machinations of the World Government and the politics of their evil and it's implications relating to the Void Century (and how it possibly relates to the One Piece) is (for me) the chief draw for One Piece.

Given that the Void Century and Raftel have now been confirmed to be connected then you should start getting caught up slowly, after the current story arc Concludes I think shit starts going down faster than most people imagine, by the end of the Current Arc Luffy will be within spitting distance of the end.

We still need to get to Elbaf, which I think is the island that's within spitting distance of the end.
I imagine Elbaf will be the hiding place of the last Poneglyph which

if my guess is right was hidden there by Former Rocks member John, and it is his legendary treasure, the Map to which..Buggy Has..who was just kicked off his soft cushy island by the Government just as Luffy starts his confrontation with Kaido and Big Mom over Poneglyph number 3 after which he will need the location of the one Whitebeard hid, and Captain Johns Treasure has come up WAY too often to not be a plot hook of some time.

One Piece is literally the only long-running (and god damn is it long-running lol) shonen I'm willing to give a chance because it really does seem that Oda planned a lot of it from the beginning, or that he at least had the broad strokes of where the story was gonna go and how it was going to end nailed down early on, including what the "One Piece" actually is. This Void Century plotline has been building up since pretty early in the manga (since way back in Alabasta I think? which is the first proper "arc") and has been building up in the background ever since then. It's the one time I can say that I'm fairly confident a story decades in the making will actually have a good ending, because Oda's pretty much already told us how it's gonna play out: they're going to find the One Piece and have one final massive battle with other pirates and the WG, resulting in the fall of the World Government. It's just the details and specifics of how that'll happen that will be revealed to us later.
