I doubt we are going to get 2 more acts out of this arc, Wano has already been really freaking long, it is time for the action to start.
skim through this:
.

Kabuki performances lasted the full day. Kabuki also has a five-act structure, following a very traditional rise and fall of a story. The Jo, or first act, was a slow opening, introducing the characters and the story. The Ha, or acts 2-4, sped up the action leading to a great dramatic moment or tragedy in act 3, with battles being common in acts 2 or 4. Finally, the Kyu, or act five, wrapped up the story in a quick and satisfying conclusion.

Big action ain't starting until next act.

No, the tragedy is gonna be something either big or flat-out fucked up, and it's going to segue into whatever fucked-up goings on are happening in the outside world during the intermission.

What if the Act 3 tragedy is about what happened in Alabasta and the intermission goes someplace elsewhere? That's the only other tragedy I can think of that could happen at the moment unless Oda catches us off-guard with something else entirely.

Oh i know the idea of the kabuki and whatnot, I just don't buy that Oda is going to follow that structure religiously.

Edit : The Reason I say this is because, we are 70ish chapters into The Wano Arc, if we start the fights right now, we are gonna have 40+ Chapters(Enies Lobby was 56 to get through all the fights). I find it hard to believe that Oda is going to break up the Invasion with another set of interludes. Its Fighting time not "Lets look at what is going on in the world" time.

I could see that happening if it's presented as the Strawhats being updated about what's going on outside and having a massive oh shit moment or something.

Oda's been waiting years for this arc and has been building up to it accordingly. I think he's learned his lesson from Dressrosa and Totto Land about how to pace shit when it gets long. Plus, we just got Kaido's son thrown into the game (and pretty damn late into it, too), even though it looked like almost everyone was already in place for this arc. The rest of act 3 is probably going to be getting the rest of the players where they need to be for the big blowout (notice how Cat Viper was not seen outside of flashback since the arc prologue), which is probably act 4 to avoid introducing anymore plot and focus on tying it all together.

Chapter 982 Spoilers

Source: https://m.blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=kitchen19&logNo=221994473267&navType=tl

- Black Maria has no interest searching for Yamato and stays closeby Kaido
- Kanjuro beat the crap out of Momo and arrives in front of drunken Orochi and Kaido and tells them that the plan to stop the scabbards had failed, but seems he still unaware they have landed on Onigashima
- Kyoshiro(Denjiro) runs into Sasaki who still think they are on the same board, and use that as an advantage
- Law and scabbards inside the submarine talking on the phone with Nekomamushi
- BM chasing Chopper and Usopp in the tank, they are running away in the opposite direction from where the allies are
- Ulti and P1 together, she asks him to take her on piggyback but he refused so she back-chokes him... he rolls and then Luffy appears just in front of him

Chapter end...no break apparently

Great, more panels of Momo looking like a wimp.

Yeah I was just going based on what the others had said on the sub. You do make a dman good point cause thinking on it is like "how the fuck is he gonna do 5 acts with all the fighter's shown?".

There is just so many variables with the SH, Heart Pirates(Law), Kidd and Killer, Red Scabbards, Marco, All the battle ready minks, and that is probably not everyone on the good guys side. That's gonna be a lot of off screen or short fights.

I do wonder if Oda went into this with the intent of this being a few hundred chapters though considering Wano will make Marineland look cute

Not just that, but we have not had a single fight with the Straw Hats showing the full extent of their powers since Sadabody. Luffy is the only fighter who has been shown at his limits post time-skip. It is time to see what the Straw Hats can do, not derp around for another act for 30 chapters.

Or one big beatdown that fucks most of the good guys up and that ends up the act 3 tragedy (a la Crocodile vs Luffy round 1).

Luffy getting BTFO by Kaido and Yasuie sacrificing himself, we have gone through the part where the Straw Hats are put in a corner already, why repeat the team getting beaten again.
I'm talking about the whole alliance getting fucked up, a crushing defeat. Not that other shit that establishes Kaido's power or moves the plot along

And what would be the point of that? Where does the plot go from "The Alliance gets BTFO" do we need another section of chapters involving "The Alliance prepares to fight Kaido" again, and we aren't ending this arc Without Luffy having proven himself an equal of a Yonko in direct combat.

Also

RE the chapter.

Sanji went into the Bath House while Big Mom was changing, using his Stealth Suit.

SANJI SAW BIG MOM NAKED.

I dunno, I mean, the Punk Hazard/Dressrosa/Zou/WCI arcs were kinda building up to Wano for some time, and Dressrosa so far has been the longest arc in OP in terms of chapter count. I think that having 5 acts is better for the plot pacing since Oda can use the chapters between acts to set up what'll be going down in the world once Wano wraps up. Plus having the current arc eclipse Dressrosa in chapter count will further cement it as the huge, epic arc that has been building up ever since the SHP entered the New World.

I do think that Marco intercepting the BM pirates means that the latter won't be joining the main confrontation. He'll probably be spending the rest of the arc fighting them off and keeping them from fully going over the waterfall and crossing the border. Plus it seems like Oda is trying to set some quick skirmishes in to show off characters he never had time to shed some spotlight on. Like Apoo; we hadn't seen him since before the arc officially began, and now we're getting to see him fight for the first time since Sabaody. I'm not saying that every character on both sides will be getting their own 2-3 chapter fights like in Enies Lobby. It'll most likely be quick encounters that conclude fairly easily, or a few characters showing off move/techniques while keeping other major players at bay like in Marineford. I just think what's currently going on isn't part of the final showdown proper, but more like taking care of a few minor obstacles along the way.
