I think there's still treasure to be had there, but maybe it's useless, legitimately be of no value. Luffy's not going to care, Nami will probably have a shock of realization over it, and that may be what starts all the laughter.

I kinda expect to see a giant statue erected in the middle of the island that's of the king of the world (Im or someone else) in his underpants. It sounds like something Oda would pull off.
Pretty much why I still consider it zero treasure in the material sense. The treasure in itself is, like we said, probably a big joke, like a statue or portrait of the World Government King in an embarrassing pose and that everything "scary" about Laugh Tale and the Void Century was a load of bunk made up by the king to protect his reputation. Hence why in the end even such a treasure is still "the friends we made a long the way" kind of shit. Only difference is that "the king in his underwear" probably isn't likely, maybe "king has a Shin-chan micropenis" since that feels like something Oda would do. Either that or its Joyboy's message saying it.

I am presuming that One Piece is the story of the Void History along with something that only a D. can make use of and can make you King of the World (Which Luffy with smash because he doesn't really want to be king of the world.)

Along with a giant ass pile of gold, because Luffy and Co deserve a giant ass Pile of gold.

The Reason Roger laughed at all of this is because he was the first person to find it..and couldn't do anything with it because by the time he got there he was to close to his death bed to actually do anything about it. (Bonus Points if Roger's sickness wasn't viral or bacterial and he was Poisoned by the WG after God Valley, which means that the World Government caused their own fall by kick starting Roger's final voyage)

That translation was god awful and that hosting site was God awful due to random popups.

I'm gonna love the official translation.

I just have to say this cover art is fucking gorgeous.

Fuck yeah Marco's back. Too bad it doesn't seem like Big Mom's kids will be involved on Onigashima.

Why don't the Big Mom Pirates know about the port that Wano uses for its underground trading? You would think with Big Mom's intelligence network and fingers in underworld pies (she had the blueprints for Vegapunk's Lab on Punk Hazard) that they wouldn't bother with the waterfall after being told so, right? It would explain why the Animal Kingdom Pirates were so surprised that they even knew about it.

The Big Mom Pirates not being involved in the showdown totally isn't implying that Big Mom ain't going down this arc.

Also something else that hasn't been addressed in here: Marco said he wasn't going anywhere because he didn't want to leave Whitebeard's homeland unguarded or draw Edward Weevil's attention to Wano, and so he wanted Cat Viper to give Luffy a message. The fact that he's here at all does not bode well for the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

We're in act 3 of 5 and we've yet to see the tragedy (third act in this type of play ends in a tragedy), and it's a long fucking act so far. Any bets as to how the act will end?

I am going with rule of funny for your question as to how this all went down, Oda wanted to have a joke therefore everything else went by the wayside.

Sorta like how Nami could "hurt" luffy by punching him when she was angry.

I thought this was only three acts long.

From what I've seen explained on the Subreddit is that this kind of play has 5 acts. Im not an expert of Japanese plays but i believe that act 3 ends on a tragedy but Oda could just say the tragedy was Oden's death and it being in middle flowed better.

Glad we are starting to actually see what the Numbers look like too. The rest will be super interesting as I wonder wtf caused them all to be so huge that they out size giants.

Lastly, ive been thinking on it and Doffy being code named Joker by Kaido was more likely a straight up subtle insult. There is no way he chose that on his own and it fits the playing card theme with King,Queen, Jack, the numbers(1-10), etc etc

The problem with that idea is that we already knew that happened waaaaayyy back on Zou; it's not really much of a tragedy in the story proper because 1) we already knew it was coming, 2) people die in flashbacks all the time, which is why Ace and Whitebeard caught everyone off guard

No, the tragedy is gonna be something either big or flat-out fucked up, and it's going to segue into whatever fucked-up goings on are happening in the outside world during the intermission.

Act 1 intermission reintroduced Blackbeard and Gecko Moria and basically established the big players in the arc via exposition
Act 2 intermission dropped the Rocks bomb, gave us the Four Emperors' bounties, showed the fall of the Seven Warlord system, and implied something bad happened to the Alabasta Kingdom
Act 3 intermission will almost certainly tell us what replaced the Warlords, what went down with Alabasta, and maybe show us what's up with Sabo, Hancock, and Vivi (the last Jump Festa message implied bad tidings for all)
