That explains why Artur hasnt got Chapter Secrets 967 up yet.
That and he also mentioned in one of his previous updates (his response to jaimini's and mangastream going down) that he's moving over to official material this year (even though he dislikes their translation).

I'm sure some of you thought I'd be done with birthdays for a while, but today is Portgas D. Ace's birthday! Here are his pixiv tags, and here are his character songs:

He shares his birthday with Mr. 1/ Daz Bones, Islewan (a member of Whitebeard's Grand Fleet), and Ann (she was in Stampede, but she was originally created for the Tokyo Tower show).

Jimbei is probably going to die just so Oda can troll everyone who insists he's a full fledged member all this time.

in seriousness, I read a speculation article earlier suggesting when he does appear, hes gonna have backup up the ass. Perhaps with Katakuri in the front.

Jimbei (and maybe the Sun Pirates) getting their shit wrecked by the Big Mom Pirates and Jimbei getting his corpse turned into a homie would be an interesting twist. It would certainly add a level of stakes not present yet (an actual Straw Hat-but-not-really fucking dying at the hands of the Four Emperors would maybe lessen the plot armor somewhat).

I think Jimbe is currently under the hunks of rock that Zoro cut off the coast accidentally with Enma, cause that is the exact sort of joke Oda would do.

Also : what are the chances that Buggy not getting to go to Laugh Tale because he was sick is part of the reason why he became a lazy bitter weakling?

Hee-Haw! Today is Emporio Ivankov's birthday! Here are his pixiv tags.

For those of you confused about the thread's subtitle, GLC (Grand Line Cruise) is a semiannual One Piece doujin event.

According to the wiki, they're a boy band named Arashi. Maybe they're fans.
Googled them, both their band and OP turned 20 the same year so they decided to do a collab:

how the hell does a boy band survive 20 years? I know it's Japan but fuck...

Self-explanatory

Now more than ever I'm curious as to just what the hell happens to Oden. Part of two of the strongest pirate crews in history yet somehow is presumably left to fight Kaido by himself (with only his scabbards) and his death doesn't incite a massive war? I can understand Roger's crew being busy with the death of their captain and all (plus Shanks was still a kid) but Whitebeard and his crew considered him family so it's hard to picture him not storming Wano in the immediate aftermath. I get the closed borders and everything but by the time the Straw Hats got back together after the 2 years over half the scabbards had made it to sea, and Dog and Cat had clearly been in Zou for a while at that point. Did Whitebeard and Roger's crew truly not know all this time or is there something more behind this?

As for the current Kaido+Mom v assorted rebel forces I'm almost certain we're going to see Shanks join in at some point. With his connections to both Oden and Luffy it's hard to believe he wouldn't assist them if it truly does become a massive war. We still don't know exactly who it was he went to talk to the 5 old men about, could it have been Oden? If there's one thing that could tip the scales for the SH army against two Emperors (and Kaido's army) it'd be getting an Emperor on their side.

Oden's Death is really strange at this point. We know he was beloved by his people by the time he had left and that even before he had reached Raftel that Wano was becoming industrialized. Part of me is starting to suspect that Kinemon doesn't know everything involving the details of Oden's death, especially now that it is confirmed that The Copy-Copy Fruit user is involved with the situation. I think there is a twist on how Oden's Death will play out that will also explain Kaido's involvement..and why Kaido is the way he is. 20 Years ago he cared enough about Raftel to Torture Oden over information on the Poneglyphs, but now despite being "Unbeatable in a 1v1 fight" he was content to sit on his rear gathering Zoan fruits.

The problem with Shanks showing up to help with Kaido and Mom is that Luffy has to match an Emperor on his own before he faces down against Blackbeard and unless we do a repeat of Whole Cake Island where the Strawhats nope out and The Rocks alliance Follows after he is going to have to do it by the end of Wano.

The Roger half can be excused by the fact that right before the flashback started we were treated to Oden politely declining offers of assistance from Rayleigh, Shanks, and Buggy, saying that his plans for Wano were an internal matter he and his retainers/family had to deal with themselves. Roger was dead and the crew disbanded when Kaido showed up and fucked everything up so it's a safe bet that the scene I described was his farewell to the Roger pirates with everyone moving on.

As for the Whitebeard half... I've read theories that Whitebeard tried to move in on Wano when shit went wrong, but was repelled by an early Big Mom/Kaido alliance, which might make sense of some things:
-her saving Kaido's ass from the Whitebeard Pirates being that "life debt" she holds over his head
-the anniversary mentioned when they formally announced their alliance (makes more sense to celebrate a huge victory than anything with Rocks, who they hate talking about their association with)
-that huge scar on Whitebeard's chest, which we now know was not something Roger gave him, surprisingly, which may put an interesting spin on his comment towards Shanks (unless this was one of the errors that gets corrected for the volume release)
-Whitebeard's reputation for going after anyone who kills one of his "sons", Wano's "super strong samurai", and even the "Four Emperors" and the fears the WG have towards them fighting/meeting/etc, among other things being things might stem from this very incident

I do agree that there's no way Whitebeard would've just sat back and let it go if he could do something about it, considering Oden was technically only being borrowed for 1 year, I doubt he had a farewell with the Whitebeards like he did Roger, otherwise Izo wouldn't have been part of the crew for as long as he was. Unless I'm completely wrong about all of this and there is something else going on but that would raise more questions at this point.
