Cyborg dog Taroimo has his birthday today.

Sorry everyone, there will be better birthdays next week.

You'll say that about 2/3 of the entire cast of One Piece. You'd say that about one of the Wano characters even if he/she was in the last chapter.

I even say it in Super Smash Bros.

I became uncultured in this decade. Collecting 80s commercials and watching Miami Vice. One Piece is literally the only modern entertainment I care about.

I'm now half-expecting you to start saying it about the main characters we follow in this thing, or anyone not named "Big Mom".

Anyone else think it weird that spoilers haven't popped up yet?

Also I'm calling it right now, if Rocks D. Xebec somehow turns up alive or enters the story outside flashback and he has a fucking eyepatch then I think that's confirmation we've hit the endgame (the absolutely final arc) because Oda said "in the final scenes of One Piece a pirate with an eyepatch will appear". But's that just mere speculation on my end.

Today it's the birthday of........ who cares? It was mentioned last year.

*continues waiting for REAL spoilers.*
Here ya go my dudes..
One Piece Chapter 959 Title : " Samurai "
In the cover, Bege and Chiffon are in Dressrosa. The country is scarred by battle.

- Starts with flashbacks -
  • Hitetsu (not Inurashi) gave the SH the armors. Zoro declined
  • Franky ordering people to fix the boats. Usopp says to meet up and ride the Sunny to the promised port
  • Holdem is investigating stolen foods from the farms
  • O-Tsuru realizes that Kinemon and co. must've gathered enough people and needs food, so they stole the food
  • She tries to distract Holdem, but the villagers took the blame upon themselves
  • Robin found out that Orochi said "The entrance to the onigashima is winter"
  • Nami, Carrot and the Minks discuss on setting the date to a full moon to make use of Sulong
  • Luffy is worried about Jinbe, and wonders if he escaped, if he is safe, and if he will arrive at Wano in time
  • The Beast Pirates bombed the Sunny's hiding spot, all the ships, and the major bridges linking the locations
  • Orochi has all the information on the 4000 people and the plan

- End of flashback -
  • Kin'emon and co. decide to carry out the plan anyway

- Starts of Oden flashback -
  • The Wano closing its borders has to do with Kozuki Family
  • Also said that when something world shaking happens, Wano will reopen its borders

Spoiler Image 01 : Luffy, Brook and Chopper wearing an edo armour
Spoiler Image 02 : The scabbards and Momo crying
Spoiler Image 03 : Kozuki Oden

I really hope he's not the ultimate villain, that would essentially mean that Blackbeard got Kaguya'd.

Unless Xebec is Im or Blackbeard then he isn't the final villain, Xebec is very likely the Catalyst for everything he told Rodger that there was something hidden at the end of the Grand Line. Oda has set up a situation that the moment someone Moves for Raftel in any serious way -everyone- has to.

Blackbeard starts going for it? World Government and Luffy MUST move to stop him.
Luffy? Blackbeard and the WG gotta move
WG moves for it? ALL OF THE PIRATES move for it.

and everyone involve knows that this is the case, Aniku is very actively preparing for the War for Raftel, note how they instantly struck at the Warlords the moment they were cast off, they are eliminating several of the most dangerous pirates in surprise attacks, have Sword and CP0 watching areas that there are known Poneglyphs. Note how Oda has placed Coby and Garp in places where they can be pulled into the conflict on Luffy's side, and Drake in a place to interact with Luffy.

Also..The Marines pushed Buggy out of his Cushie chair Buggy who has had a Treasure Map to a lost treasure of a Crew member of Xebec, and we have a Road Poneglyph whose location is unknown.

Oda has set up for everyone to be pulled into the Throne War (Doflammingo's name for the coming conflict) because Much like the Grand Line itself, every plot line leads to Raftel and I can't predict the exact Final Battle..but the Final Arc will involve Luffy facing against both Blackbeard and The World Government simultaneously.

The Noble Croc of the Bewitching Woods has its birthday today.

goddamn it people I'm not saying Rocks is the final villain, I'm suggesting he could turn out to be the signifier that the manga's about to end

also @Done alive or not, he kind of is already the ultimate villain, considering his former crew members controlled the New World for the first half of the series, may or may not have had his will inherited by Blackbeard (regardless of what connection you know is being hinted at), and that his actions are probably still influencing events right now (Kaidou and Big Mom's alliance, Garp, Roger and Ace, I think whatever went down at God Valley probably caused the WG to shift on some things, etc)

I wonder if Jinbei is actually already in Wano and has been for months (our real world time). Big Mom could have brought him on the Chantor and has him imprisoned in its brig.

Is... is one of these folks Oden? Like the one in the top right?

I mean, they didn't necessarily have to be the bad guys. But I dunno if we've ever gotten confirmation on the three of them yet. But still, we finally get to see Oden, and this flashback should be interesting. Oda's such a tease to just dump this flashback on us when we're so close to the war with Kaido, but I'm not mad.

In fact, if we're going to see his wife and how they met, then I'm not going to complain. Gonna prepare myself for the waterworks, though, see what gut punch Oda will send our way.

Oda continues to be an Oden Cocktease, keeping him in silhouette even from the back as we start the flashback. Did anyone else notice this flashback starts off a year before the God Valley incident?

Those drawings came out in 1999-2000 on a Weekly Shonen Jump cover (around the time the Baroque Works saga was going down), and according to the Volume 54 SBS they were of villains that were supposed to show up in the Grand Line. I'm pretty sure that version of Boa Hancock was using this design on the left when that and the Color Walk 2 reprint came out. To this day we've yet to receive confirmation on the identities other three (in either SBS, databook, or the fucking Vivre Cards), or if those characters even showed up and the designs went unused (which has happened-- Hancock's changed, which was a given since she debuted proper 8-9 years after she cameo'd on the Jump cover, Kanjuro was completely redesigned in the same arc he came out proper in and we saw that early design in his Vivre Card, Kaido and Big Mom don't look like how they were shadowed in Water 7, etc).

fuck funimation tbh, none of their staff can act, and the production is inferior to the Odex dub helmed by Chuck Powers
