This month a special based on Romance Dawn V2 airs. I saw the title and thought they were animating the first chapter again but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. This version of the story is tragically obscure and should be more known.

Love the Giants, but Tonjit, along with the entirety of Long Ring Long Land, did nothing for me.

Also, isnt it Spoiler time? After the last two chapters and their info bombs, I sure hope we aren't going back to Wano padding.

This is the version where instead of Shanks as his inspiration to be a pirate it's proto-Garp right?

Ye, because Oda wanted to keep Shanks a surprise for when things got going or something. Garp was also the one who taught Luffy that treasure isn't just material items and crap you steal in this one.

Oda said his editor had him lop off Shanks's arm because it made the story more compelling, I wonder if that was a change from Romance Dawn v1 or a carryover (he lost it to a shark in that one).
 
Okay Kiwi Farms, I know you guys can find the info on anyone anywhere..so I need the help of the demon hordes of the internet.

Didn't Luffy make a speech about how "I know how I am useless, I can't Cook, I can't Navigate, I can't fight with a Sword, I can't lie...BUT I CAN KICK YOUR ASS" at some point during the Arlong Park Arc?

Nevermind, I found it. It is at the start of the fight not the end.
 
How many dead characters do you think we'll see by the end of the series? Oda's been killing people left and right since we entered the New World and I'm curious if he'll kill off anyone that's been recurring outside of the arc they were prominent in (the first time being Ace and Whitebeard, though Ace was doomed from the start).

I've always had money on characters like Marco, Smoker, Aokiji, and perhaps Mihawk (eventually) biting the bullet, but then again, this is Oda. I can't predict the man.
 
looks like we're getting a scene on the Oro Jackson about Oden. Buggy, Shanks and Crocus are all present.

It’s true that they look similar since Izo also wore a kimono. And in vol 82 chapter 820, it did said that some people from “Wano Country” got on Whitebeard’s ship~. One day the answer to this question will be revealed, so just continue reading. You’ll notice it, right~!

Side note: we saw this guy as a kid in another SBS when Oda drew some of the Whitebeard Division Commanders as children; the crown of his head was shaved like Momonosuke's and he was holding fans.

was Luffy not in this Chapter? That felt kinda weird. Hasn't he left the prison?

And looks like speculators were right how the raid was going to be a failure. But come on, felt like way too many panels of the Scabbards complaining about the weather (I think that's Big Moms doing, btw. Maybe she created a new cloud homie) and the fact that their army didnt show up.

Luffy was not in this chapter unless you subscribe to the theory that Gold Roger is an older version of him which would put him in this chapter by proxy.

The narration says that the Wano Country weather is unpredictable because it can vary from island to island, so your waifu most likely had nothing to do with this (though if we find out otherwise later I'll be more than willing to eat Karasu crow.

We also don't know that the army didn't show up. It was pointed out that the port looked like it had been attacked, and Orochi was shown to have been informed of the updated meeting spot, together with the end of the chapter implying he struck while the iron was hot. I'd focus more on Dogstorm's reaction ("that damn cat didn't make it in time"), because that suggests Cat Viper might finally be returning to the story.

well, if it means anything, Artur has also mentioned its possible Linlin is who is causing the storm.

But I just dont get it. How is it that most of the alliance isnt even aware Big Mom is here? Why the fuck hasn't Chopper broken this news to anyone else? It was supposed to be a big deal back in Zou when the retrieval team first went to Totto Land to not involve Linlin in this. Now, everyone is ignoring their worst fears.
