Funimation keeps putting One Piece on hiatus apparently. They're still in the middle of Punk Hazard that I can tell.

It's a testament to how well Oda can map out storylines in advance, that horrific shit was completely well-executed and fully in character for everyone involved.

Also, Orochi is on a one-man mission to become the most hateable OP antagonist.

I wonder if this was before Vic's firing. At this point? The diagnosis is already affecting them. No hope for Funimation left. I love One Piece. But I'll be okay with a redub or no dub of One Piece at all. Reading subs already.

-Kyoshiro saves Orochi and starts to attack Zoro ~ X Drake attacks Sanji
-Franky saves Zoro from bullets
-Ussop, Robin and Nami interfere in the fight
-Orochi escapes
-Luffy watches and follows all of that from prison
-Queen arrested Kamazu and Kid
-Kamazu and Kid are chained from their feet and their heads are flooded with water
-Luffy attacks Queen but Queen responds with ease!
-Last page Big Mom in a scary face and arrived

- That wasn't just a twist, it was a fucking punch in the gut. Killer's plight is just saddening to see, Oda has been doing really good lately, and the Wano arc has potential to beat Whole Cake Island as my favorite non-Marineford arc.

- I can't wait to see Kid ride on his enemies. He's been wronged by Kaido over and over in this arc.

- Hawkins' non-involvement in the fight (so far) is giving me pause, he keeps coming late to these fights and not reporting stuff to Kaido's people, which makes him the enigma of this arc (along with Kyoshiro), and will probably turn on Kaido at some point, now the only unseen Supernova is Scratchmen Apoo.

- Also really great to see (most of) the Strawhats fighting together again. Though I have a feeling that it will end in tears too. They are probably going to get outmatched pretty soon.
 
We end the month with Lacuba's birthday. He was one of the potential slaves at the Human Auction who was freed by the Straw Hats.
 
This was a damn good chapter. Real action packed and nice balance of exposition.

- The Real Franky appeared for the first time since the timeskip. He never really had much action in the new world. Let alone a chance to be Super! His only fight I can remember was Vs Senor Pink. But that was a more emotional fight that Franky had to take more seriously.

- Now I don't care too much about the "Next Nakama" debate but wow. It kinda feels like Eustass Kid has seriously qualified. A Captain's first mate betraying is something we haven't had yet. To me, it just feels like the kind of reason for Luffy to take Kid in.

- Oh shit, Big Mom is gonna be fighting Kaido.
 
Really guys? We're just gonna continue letting @Trombonista monopolize the thread with birthdays? This Chapter was monumental and features plenty of things worth talking about.

- I've been moaning about off screening but there are things I'm happy we weren't shown like Big Mom appearing last panel in rage. Like, it's been ambiguous now what's happened to Chopper and the rest of his team?

- And it made no sense for Kid to escape off screen and so unceremoniously when he hadn't done anything, but this right here.This scared me more than Im did. I said already that for me, this is gonna turn into Kid being "Next Nakama" and I said already again I don't give a crap about that debate. But this really gives me a thought that Luffy will take Kid in. It will mostly depend on what's happened to the rest of his crew and if these effects can be reversed. Where is his crew anyway? Where's that old looking man who can breathe fire?

- but like the rest of the fandom is saying, this is the climax of Act 2. And I am gonna be happy to see real meet and not character teleporting. Maybe Alabaster spoiled me but I didn't like how many modes of transportation everyone kept getting. Choppers team made this worse with all his offscreening thoughts (does ANY OTHER Straw Hat know Linlin is here?) and every panel of ythem being in the distance.
